He IS really smart Mummy! I love how they kind of tease you to prolong the attention they are getting, he knew all along where that cylinder had to go....
And he was way too busy to give you a high five...
I think early learning just gets better as they get a little bit older, they are so much more aware of the world they live in & of course can communicate that they know more easily. I'm often surprised by the little things my son notices, interesting things that I was too busy to see. My little boy is nearly 2 & he just loves his "eadin" & his "dots"... he tidies up all his toys no bother if I promise to do another LR session or read a story.
I read a word & he repeats it (he doesn't read himself yet), but in the Usbourne Farmyard tales, he's familiar with the names of the characters, so "mrs" is followed by "boot" & dog is followed by "rusty". These are the little things but it makes me appreciate him even more.
We had a learning moment this afternoon when an escaped pet parrot came into our garden... he quite happily perched on the patio table for closer inspection & it turns out he likes cut up apple too
