When you export a Playlist consisting of five Categories, it will contain all 5 categories with their attached media files, and come out as a single .PL file. When you import that .PL file into a Little Reader, the five Categories will be created, with all their attached media files, and then a Playlist will be created with those five Categories and saved playback settings. There won't be any .CAT files exported at all.
The other thing is, it sounds like after you have downloaded and imported your .CAT files, you've still kept the .CAT files on your computer; once
downloaded files* are imported into Little Reader, you don't have to keep the original files anymore.
*Note: This only applies to DOWNLOADED Playlists and Categories, not Categories that you personally create.
Finally, so far, you cannot export folders.
