How do I designate a monitor for LR?

Okay, so this might sound a bit foolish coming from me, but I have many monitors that I use when playing poker (how can someone be limited to just one screen?) - and now that I'm using my primary machine to play lessons, I haven't figured out how to designate which monitor it plays on. Any ideas?

Your largest. I went from a desktop to a notebook. Readingbear and LR are both better on a larger screen.  I like the notebook, it means you can carry it to a bed to snuggle and watch files, but somethings are just not as good on a small screen.

My monitors are all the same size. I open LR on one screen, and then the presentations show on another. Due to the layout, there's definitely a benefit to choosing which screen this displays on. Right now it will work, but it's not optimal

Hi PokerDad,

Are you running Windows 7? I think there's a Display option where you can choose your primary desktop monitor and then choose the other one to be secondary.
(Btw, I agree with you on needing 2 monitors. )

Try following this path:
Start > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Display > Screen Resolution

If you have two (or more) monitors connected, I think you can select which one you want to have your program and which one it will play on. You can also switch these by trial and error, I think.

Hope this helps. I'm not entirely sure if this is the kind of solution you're looking for, but hoping I might have hit the right note.

Thank you for your help.

On a hunch, I decided to drag the short cut icon to the screen where I wanted the presentation to play and it worked. I have all my icons on the left most screen and then a few poker client icons on the right most screen (that's usually turned off when I'm not grinding poker hands since I don't need THAT many screens ha ha) and LR kept wanting to play on the left most screen so I figured the two were correlated somehow.... so I'll just have icons on an otherwise clean screen, no problem there.
