Dear Pupisek & Everyone,
Thank you for your patience with my persistence on this. I am trying to set up in LR by creating a category called "Step 1 Individual Words Master List" with my words. Then I will create a daily set of 3 or 5 categories in which I put the 5 words per set and then on the 6th day, will retire include a new word and retire a word . . .
Sort of what is described in the comments by Alenka for .ppt here:

Thank you for your kind words! They really mean a lot to me!!!
After showing your 25 words for 5 days you don’t have to retire all 25. You retire just five words and add five new ones. Daily. Here is an example: I have a set of five words for my baby
- apple
- milk
- bread
- carrot
- banana
I am showing these words for 5 days, 3x a day. At the beginning of the next week, I retire just one word (let’s say, a word “banana”), and add a new one, so the set looks like this:
- apple
- milk
- bread
- carrot
NEW: soup
My baby is happy to see old words (someone just recently mentioned that her baby loved old words so much, this mom ended up with two piles - the baby got very upset when any old words would disappear) and even happier - for a surprise: a new word (”soup”)!
I show these words 3x on Monday. On Tuesday I retire another old word (”carrot”) and add another new one, so my set looks like this:
- apple
- milk
- bread
- soup
NEW: butter
So, similarly, on Wednesday my set will look like this:
- apple
- milk
- soup
- butter
NEW: cereal
By the end of the week, all the words from week 1 would be replaced and the baby will start getting familiar with the 5 new words! So you just continue like this adding one/removing one from each set and adjusting your sets according to your baby’s interest.

I will have to create a listing of five daily sets/categories with the words that are needed for each day already in the set; as opposed to physically adding/retiring a word to each category set - I will just set up that way in the beginning which is a little long, but it will work - like in the following schedule:
Day 1 Set 1 - words 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Day 1 Set 2 - words 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Day 1 Set 3 - words 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Day 1 Set 4 - words 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Day 1 Set 5 - words 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Day 2 Set 1 - words 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Day 2 Set 2 - words 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Day 2 Set 3 - words 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Day 2 Set 4 - words 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Day 2 Set 5 - words 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Day 3 Set 1 - words 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Day 3 Set 2 - words 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Day 3 Set 3 - words 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Day 3 Set 4 - words 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Day 3 Set 5 - words 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Day 4 Set 1 - words 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Day 4 Set 2 - words 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Day 4 Set 3 - words 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Day 4 Set 4 - words 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Day 4 Set 5 - words 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Day 5 Set 1 - words 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Day 5 Set 2 - words 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Day 5 Set 3 - words 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Day 5 Set 4 - words 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Day 5 Set 5 - words 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Day 6 Set 1 - retire word 1; continue words 2, 3, 4, 5, add word 26
Day 6 Set 2 - retire word 6; continue words 7, 8, 9, 10; add word 27
Day 6 Set 3 - retire word 11; continue words 12, 13, 14, 15; add word 28
Day 6 Set 4 - retire word 16; continue words 17, 18, 19, 20; add word 29
Day 6 Set 5 - retire word 21; continue words 22, 23, 24, 25; add word 30
Day 7 Set 1 - retire word 2; continue words 3, 4, 5, 6, 26; add word 31
Day 7 Set 2 - retire word 7; continue words 8, 9, 10, 27; add word 32
Day 7 Set 3 - retire word 12; continue words 13, 14, 15, 28; add word 33
Day 7 Set 4 - retire word 17; continue words 18, 19, 20, 29; add word 34
Day 7 Set 5 - retire word 22; continue words 23, 24, 25, 30; add word 35
Day 8 . . .etc.and work through my 200 words
Then form couplets with the same type of scenario but it goes faster because it is 2 sets of 5 couplets only . . . etc. and work through the steps.
I feel that I am on the very edge of my own little breakthrough and will struggle through it. I will just have to map it out; try it and see.
Thanks.
Ayesha
