IMPORTANT: Notice for Little Reader 118 Users (Read before Upgrading!)

Oh! oh! I'm not really sure, but I think you have to add those files manually, it's like you are making a new .cat files your own. If you will do it yourself, be sure to place those back-up files in safe area, were you can't delete accidentally 'coz if those files will be deleted, there will be errors on your LR.

If that is too much work for you, I suggest you better download those files again from Little Reader Library while they are still free.

Or just wait for the moderators to reply & tell you what's the best way to add those files back.

Good that you backed it up.

Here's what you do - copy (not move) your backup under your My Documents\BrillKids\Little Reader HOME\ folder, so that under that, you have the Data and Media Library folders too.

Next just install the new LR 1.5 and it should detect your old library and port it to the new version.

Please note that by doing so, you won't see any of the new content immediately.  However, after you run 1.5 for the first time, it should prompt you to install the Starter Pack.  AFter you do that, install the rest of the content files from your ACcount Management.

My problem is that my laptop where I had my only copy of LR died when I had downloaded about half the library, and the contents of the harddrive were put onto an external hard-drive. In the meantime I bought another comp, and continued downloading files with my 2nd LR.  I have not been able to access the first LR with lots of downloaded files to put the files all together. If I download the new LR, even though I have backed up my 2nd half of the files, when I finally retrieve my first LR and first half of files, will they be wiped already, or will I be able to do the same process..back them up, then uninstall and install new LR.??

i went to my account management under software and license key, it reflect Little Math V 1.5 icon for me to dowload. Why didnt i have Little Reader V 1.5 icon for me to upgrade? I have bought Little Reader long time ago. Please help.

Hi, Fruityfruit, we only have a record of LM under your account.  Perhaps you bought it under another account?  (We see several other screen names using the same IP).

I'm sorry if this is answered somewhere else but I've been looking for two hours and can't find it. What I would like to know is with the free 6 months upgrade, what happens after that? Is the content/lessons that were viewed still on my computer or is it gone after the 6 months? Can I use the 6 months program in a few years with my next child if I just click on the lessons again? Can you please link another post if this is already answered, as I'm too nervous to upgrade incase I love it and can only use it for six months.

oh.. its my husband's! I am responsible for using LM. He is accountable for using LR where we both bought LR and LM separately. But recently, we switched our role in order to suit his schedule. In that case, i have to use his login account for upgrading Little Reader? Please advise...

You mentioned there are several screen names using the same IP...Both of us shared the same laptop, including my sisters who used the forum, and our LR,LM on their children. May i know will there be any issues?

I think there is some confusion with the current Father's Day promotion, which is that if you buy a 6 month, you get upgraded to 12, buy 12 and get upgraded to lifetime.  For previous users (presumably like yourself), you get upgraded to Lifetime.  You get to keep and use LR forever.



Fruityfruit, if you want the licenses consolidated into 1 account, please PM Lappy and she'll get you sorted out.  It's 'fine' to have the same IP so long as its' not blatantly by the same user.

Yes, you are already upgraded. Just go to your ACcount Management and download the latest version, which includes the curriculum and all the extra juicy content!
