Is anyone working on a YBCR (volume 2) Playlist

I have been happily using the starter and volume 1 download.  I will be ready for volume 2 in one month and just realized that there isn't one.  Has anyone already started on volume 2?  If not, I probably can patch together a playlist from the existing downloadable catagories.  I just learned how to use little reader recently, so I'm a bit slow.  Of course, if I do it myself, I will learn how to upload it to this site to share.

I'm working on one right now. I think I'm about half way through. There are a couple in Power Point (PPT) but I wasn't really interested in those. I'll upload as soon as I'm finished.

I have Vol 2 & 3 already to go on my LR so I will add it to the files. I haven't gotten around to adding sound yet but you could use it as a start. There are several pictures already loaded for each word. You'll have to wait until it gets approved though.

Wow, thanks.  It will be such a help.  I'm sure it will get approved before I need it in one month.  I do know how to add the sound, and I just purchased a brand new microphone.  I was using headphones plugged into the mic jack.  Searching, downloading, and patching together all of the pics into one playlist is the most time consuming, so you have saved me from endless hours of work.

Hi, I'm still somewhat new to this site...going on two weeks   Anyway, I'm using YBCR dvds with my son.  I found this thread and I'm wondering if the downloads you're talking about are in the "freebies" or if I need Little Reader to use them.  Can you tell me where to find them?  We've just switched to the Volume 1 dvd so I'm a bit behind you.

Yes, this thread is all about Little Reader.  We are talking about a download to use with Little Reader.  SB1201 took all of the words from YBCR (volume 2) and added corresponding pics.  Next it just needs sound.  Essentially the end product is multisensory flashcards on the computer.  The download is free but you need the Little Reader to run it on your computer.  If you earn enough points you can get it free by trading them, or you can just buy it.  I think it is well worth the money.  I use it more than the YBCR materials although I'm following the YBCR word list and schedule.  Check out the Little Reader by clicking "shop" and "brillkids software" in the toolbar.  It is expandable whereas YBCR is a fixed product - once you finish with the YBCR words then you are done.  I can teach about anything indefinitely with Little Reader.  I'm using it to teach my daughter (24 months old) math quantities, counting, the alphabet, YBCR sight words, shapes, and colors.  Many other people are using it to teach foreign languages, encyclopedic knowledge, etc.

So...you can teach math with it, too?  I've been considering getting the Little Math program but have been on the fence with it.

Oh I'm so lazy!   I need to just get in there and add the sound. Maybe I'll get around to that this week and then I'll edit it in the LR files.

In the menu bar, right next to "Home", you with see "Little Learner Library."  It leads to a drop down menu, where you can select "English Downloads."  Then you should see a catagory list of all of the downloads available.  There is a math catagory with like 108 files.  With the existing downloads, you can teach number sense up to 100, numeral identification, addition, and maybe more.  Of Course, if you make your own playlists then you can teach anything.  I'm sure "Little Math" must make it easier but to start out you can do alot of math just with the "Little Reader."  There is a whole board dedicated to Little Math.  Perhaps you could ask over there what can be done on "Little Math" that can't be accomplished on "Little Reader."  Although I have both, I haven't explored "Little Math" yet.  I've been doing dots to teach number sense on "Little Reader."
