New version: Font options & gif animations

Hi everyone

I have two questions:

• I was wondering if the new version of LR will be able to handle changing your font options for a word or words; for instance if I wanted to make a word Bold, Italic or Underlined?  Even if we can change the font color perhaps?
  
  I also had a previous post where I asked if the new version will be able to handle .gif animations, but I haven't had a reply there yet?

Hi Stellajo,

Currently LR doesn't have the ability to handle .gif animations, bold, italic, or underlining, but changing the font colour for a specific word in a sentence is doable.

Simply select Split Mode from the PLAYBACK SETTINGS tab in PLAYBACK, and then decide the colours for Split Mode.  For example, if you choose red and blue as the split colours and then type the sentence:

Yesterday, I went to the /park/ and played with Mummy!

It will display as:

Yesterday, I went to the park and played with Mummy!

Font style options will be available for title slides for v2, but we don't have plans to add it to the 'normal' word slides yet.  But now that you mention it, guess we'll put some thought into it!

Re gif support - it's also one thing we are looking at. Will see how easy it is to implement.

Thanks KL, that would be great if you could, it will help to make the slides even more attention grabbing for the little ones.
