Is Little Reader for Macbook Out yet?

Hi,

I was told that the Little Reader for macbook users might be out, so wanted to ask to confirm.  Is it out yet?
If not, when is the estimate date for it to be released?  I am dying to use it for my macbook, because it's not easy to make my own presentations, and due to that am falling really behind and then stop for a few days, cuz i can't keep up.  There is a HUGE market for Macbook and it would be wonderful if there is something for macbook users as well. My son is already 2, and i would hate to miss out on something as wonderful as this.  PLEASEEEEE come out with it sooner.

I don't know the details offhand, perhaps someone else does, but my techie husband once told  me there is a way to use this on a mac. Basically, you create some kind of platform to make the machine think it's operating on a PC when it's really a MAC. I don't know all the in's and out's, it' s like installing a "middle man" for it to run. I have a friend with a MAC and we discussed it before.

I will ask him later, but maybe someone else knows. I googled for you. Since LR is  pretty big program, I don't even know if it would actually work but it's worth loooking into.

Thank you so much for responding to my post (and my email =) I'm actually waiting for the Little Reader to be made for Mac.  I don't have it in me to install something on my Macbook esp, since I don't know how it's done.  I want my complicated life to be a little more simple.  But your help is appreciated.

I do want to try it soon! I can let everyone know how it works on Bootcamp when we get it. We happen to already have Bootcamp.

I was just reading your blog about the BrillKids, and frankly, that kinda convinced me to want to try it out.  I'm going to take it to someone who can actually take care of installing it for me, so I can runt the program.  The more time I spend waiting, the more precious time I am wasting.  I'm guessing it will take me a week or more to get everything done.  Will keep you guys posted. =) And I will go through your blog, which is quite interesting.  Looking forward to your archive of accumulated evidence.

Thanks for constantly reminding us!

It's very helpful for us to see more and more people asking about a Mac version, and who knows, maybe we'll get it out very very soon!

There are also a couple or more Mac users in that thread who shared how installing LR in their Macs is done. If you like you may try searching the Forum for more threads about running LR via Bootcamp or Parallels, and see which way works best for you.

After spending about 5 hours, trying to install Paralles (trial version) to see if I can use that and try the trial version of Little Reader, I was left hopeless and annoyed.  Like I said I am not very tech savvy, but can follow advice based on diff forums.  Anyway with no luck and a lot of aggravation, I realized it's not worth upgrading based on one feedback and spending so much (esp since I have a budget) in order that Parallels can run on my computer and that doesn't even include purchasing the LR or LM yet.

Anyway, my hubby got home noticing how I was busy on the computer and frustrated at the same time.  After telling him what I was trying ot do, he advised me not to mess  around with my Macbook (too late) and that he has an extra laptop (windows) lying around in his office which I can use!!!
Oh Thank God!  Now with all that I have been through, I am really hoping that the Little Reader will live up to it's claim =) and most imp will be well received by my son.
