Little reader and little music on an external hard drive?

I am wondering if it is possible to run Little leader and Little musician completely from an external hard drive.
I have a laptop that is completely full and having regular meltdowns and a notebook that just doesn't have the storage capacity it needs to function. I need to run both program's on both computers. If I can get them to work on an external hard drive we may just have room left to run Little math also!
I figure I will need to register both computers with the pass key but if I load the entire LR onto the hard drive will I be able to point to it and play it. Or is it possible to put some of it on the laptop and some on the hard drive?
The net book runs the electronic whiteboard and the laptop won't ( it has sound incompatibility issues) so we can't play little music on the big screen at all  we REALLY REALLY want to play little music on the big screen WITH sound!
Also while I am asking. Has anyone got a touch screen? Do the games work on the touch screen? Will i be able to set up the netbook for the children to use the touch screen to play the games? They do work on the electronic white board BTW which we love!
Please help. If all else fails I need to buy a new laptop! I am all out of options. 
Oh and is it all working for windows 8? The netbook has windows 8.

I sent you a PM update about this a few minutes ago, but just in case I'll post it here too:

We released a new version of LR which comes with an option for you to use an external hard drive for all your software data. Please update to v3.2.1390 to use the new Custom System Settings in the Tools screen.

We're also working on adding the same option for Little Math and Little Musician, and those new versions will be available later.


And just to confirm for everyone - we support Windows 8 (32-bit and 64-bit), and LR / LMh / LMs would work the same way even on a touch screen laptop or computer.

Just to add something to what Kezia mentioned.

I am presently using LR, LM and LMs on windows 8 touchscreen computer. It works wonderfully, and not just that -- games option in LR is perfect with touch screen, my 8 months old LO is able to touch the words he is choosing and loves it!

Very excited! Good timing too because just this week my laptop decided to stop talking to the electronic whiteboard and my class is really missing their LR lessons.
I am also using windows 8 with a touch screen and it works beautifully. All the children can navigate independantly if they want an extra lesson
