Kezia already answered your question, but I wanted to chime in, as someone who used both curriculums with 3 children ( and still using them!)
Here are a few points to consider:
1. We started curriculums at different time, so when my children started Chinese Curriculum, they were already months ahead in English. Thus some similarity was not a problem at all. In fact, some similarity helped them to feel more comfortable wit an introduction of completely different language ( we do not speak mandarin in our family)
2. I also was impressed how much similarity played a positive role in my older girl's interest in brand new language. Often, after we would do her English lessons, she would beg me to find and play the same lesson in Chinese ( and now French!) I also saw rapid progress in her language acquisition
3. Not sure if you have noticed, but EVERY word in each language curriculum comes with few different photos, audio recordings, and when played again it is shown in different color and font. It works in your favor if you do not want Chinese and English curriculum look the same -- just play different set of photos ( different rotation of the same lesson, usually there are 3 rotations) and it would look like a totally different curriculum
