Little Reader Free Trail

I’ve tried to download the little reader free trail twice and still I am unable to get it going on my computer.  Can someone help me with this?

When I try to download the software it says that I do not have the right programs to upload it.

It downloads as a Zip file.

Hi Chanze, thanks for the additional information. Looks like you do not have WinZIP or WinRAR installed in your computer yet, and this is why you are getting the error message you mentioned.

The Little Reader installer is placed inside a *.zip so you'll need to install WinZIP or WinRAR first so you can open the file you downloaded. You may download WinRAR from this page (just the Trial version): http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Once you've installed WinRAR, you should be able to open the installer *.zip file -- please refer to this article for detailed instructions on how to install the Little Reader free trial:

I'm new here...
just wanna ask..if i'd downloaded the free trial, do I need to uninstall it if i purchased the box set..(still waiting for my LR to arrive...)???

Hi khairiaty, welcome to the forum!

You do not need to uninstall the Little Reader trial software, especially if you are already using the latest version. All you'll need to do once you get your license key (either from your account page / receipt or when you receive your package) is to import it to activate Little Reader.

If the LR you currently have installed is an older version, simply visit your account page to download the installer for the latest version. The installer wizard automatically detects if you have an existing installation and will proceed with the upgrade process so there is no need to uninstall anything.

Finally, my LR arrived! thank you Kezia for the info...
looks like my daughter loves it...
So far I love the curriculum...but I have some technical problem running my 'START GUIDE'...I can launched it but nothing came out from the box..FYI..I use the trial version, then I activated it after I install the license key from the box set..
I really need to use the start guide, since i'm new and need the tutorial...
Do I need to re install? (so I won't have the opportunity to install in other computer)

Hello! I'm very sorry we missed your message -- I hope it's not too late

Kindly upgrade to the latest version available (right now it's v2.0.715) and let me know if this fixes your Start Guide problem. If it doesn't open, can you try clicking on the "Start Guide" button (at the rightmost side of the LR window)?
