Little Reader suggestions - Help us improve Little Reader!

This may already be a feature but i haven't gotten to it yet???? But...

1. Ex. for Dog...Do we/can we have the option to add the word onto/on top of the pictures and the videos? If so, can we choose the size of font etc.? or have some auto feature that posts it somewhere that isn't covering/interfering with the picture but would allow child to see a connection to all 3 senses used, picture of dog , audio of dog, and word dog.

Probably in the multisensory section so theres time to connect them all.
I certainly understand and agree with beginning with only one at a time, or 2 actualy but another layer to try would be niv=ce. font would have to be big enough to roughly equal picture or less probably.

WHat do u think?

Having an animated lego videos for the abcs that I posted on another thread would be nice. Having that guy do some animations that could be randomly thrown in the lessons to hold the interest of the child. I think you have an excellent product just some children are harder to captivate then others.

Keep in mind that i'm very new to using the programs. It's pretty cool for me to think of things that i notice as i'm just getting to experiment with all the features, ask you for them and right away you tell me that you've already added them to V2 and Santa is only a few days away hehe

This is for both LR and LM.... Can we please have the option of choosing the rotation ratio of each picture or video or Icon?
Some just keep his attention more than others and i'm sure it will change as we keep going.

 For LR, I'm doing a shoot today to basically re-do/add to...every word in the curriculum. Some of them multiple pics Ex. daddy's ear, mommy's ear etc., his blocks, his toes.
Anything in his world so it will add that level of personal connection that you designed the customizing features for. I'm very excited by the way.
I dont want to delete any of your files, well a few maybe, but id like to be able to choose to use some files more than others....

( oh, lightbulb goes off ).

I suppose i could probably just re-add the same file info?? that would be a lot more steps if i do it for many or all of the words..could you maybe add a "duplicate file " right there. like i have in I-Photo? probably in all photo programs... if i want to edit the picture, i usually duplicate it with one click and only edit one.

If we could do that, we could just have our one favorite picture on the list 3 times, with 7 others and it comes up 3 out of 10 times i like how we can move a file up or down on the list to mix it up.

Re rotation ratio, there's no elegnant way to do it right now but what you stumbled on will work, ie, just add more of the same pics into the word file.

Note that the pictures rotate in sequence, and are not chosen at random, so best to manually spread them out in a sequence you would like.

1.  If there isn't a way.... My next thought, on a " work around", would be to create a "new " word wave" and add it to the list.

Maybe add a section somewhere on " Advanced customization Tips" ?? Yeah, things like this. I'll try to think of some more. Like my thought below.

  Maybe all you designers who really know the system, can think of things you wanted to put in the system but couldn't ...
   maybe there's a lateral creative thinking "work around " that you can list???

2. can we match & lock a sound file to a picture file or video file? i thought of this when i added a pic of 2 friends waving and i wanted to recorded them saying ."

 Hi Wyatt, im joe and im sue. Can you wave at us?". Also the more obvious opportunities of family and their picture or video of them doing something specific.

Hi Wyatt , I'm uncle joe. I'm riding a bike etc. lots of opportunities for this in curriculum pop up to me as i now go through it thinking of it.

Hmm, I thought we talked about this before, maybe in another thread?
Anyway, right now, the easiest thing would be to add the same media files multiple times to the list, and this will effectively give you a higher rotation ratio.

This is a planned feature for the future.  Hoepfully by v3...

Yes we did talk about workarounds and message received. I think you missed my suggestion RE: that discussion.
I found one workaround to something i wanted to do, maybe there are more??? Maybe start a list is what i was saying.

I know there is suppose to be a feature in the future for retiring words.  But I would also like a feature for reviewing old words.  I love a Little Math feature that I think would work well in Little Reader.  In Little Math, you can put a lot of numbers in a playlist, randomize it, and then select how many to flash each playback.  This would be nice way to review long lists of previously retired words in Little Reader.  By the way, need it be said, this is the greatest product ever.
