My husband reformatted my laptop to fix some problems. When I installed LR again, part of the normal screen is not visible/accessible. For example, I can’t change the uppercase/lowercase option or adjust the volume and speed to the maximum (see the attached file). The presentation seems to be out of alignment too (with a horizontal line cutting through the word “Order” in the Playback screen). There are 2 vertical lines cutting Word Set and Word File boxes to adjust the width of the boxes. I have already dragged them as far to the left as possible but I still cannot see the full screen/option. Can someone help? Thank you in advance.

Can you please change your DPI settings from 120 to 96. Please see here for more info:

Thanks KL. I can see the full screen now after changing the DPI. Sorry to sound so fussy. The font is now so small that I need to strain my eyes ... I’m using a laptop. This applies to when I’m using other software (such as Microsoft Word) and internet. For MS Word, I can use the Zoom function to make the word size bigger but not for the tool bars. For the internet screen, I can’t see the full screen if I zoom it to say 125% and it is a hassle to keep using the left-right stroller at the bottom. Before my husband reformatted my laptop, I had good font size and still see the full screen. Is there any other way to fix it?

Unfortunately this is a problem which will only get fixed with version 2 (not the next version which is 1.5).

However, do try to adjust font settings a bit more. For example, did you know you can hold down CTRL and use your mouse scroll wheel to scroll up to adjust the font size/zoom? This control also works for Word. No need to set it using the Zoom control on the top menu.
