LR advice for >12 month-old?

Hi All
I've recently written about my daughter (9 months) not looking at words on flashcards anymore. Last week I bought LR hoping to get her attention through a new medium.
I've got a lot of good French downloads to show her(thanks to Patreiche!) and, well, her reaction is not exactly enthusiastic.
I've tried sitting her on my lap & sitting her on the high chair. If there is nothing in her hands, she tries to grab the mouse or keyboard; if I give her something to chew on, she looks at the object, or around her. On occasion she will look at the screen (max 5 or 6 seconds) then once again look at the toy...
I've done really short lessons, longer ones, and either pronounce the words myself or let her hear the recorded voice...

Any advice? What else can I try?
PS: the only time she was showing a bit of interest was early morning during breakfast..

I think it might work to set LR up during meal times when she doesn't have much to do or on potty times Don't worry if she only catches glimpses of the screen, she can see it, change categories often to draw attention and keep her from getting bored, try downloads with video files  Keep it short unless she starts asking for more

HI your daughter is about the same age as my son, so may be you can try the files up brillkids first? Those animals files with sounds, my son will laugh non stop whenever he watch it. Then you process with others.
I guess this is the first few times that you are using computer as the educational aid? When I first use powerpoint to flash words to my son when he was 5-6 months, he will want to touch everything! After a month or two she will get use to it.
Please do keep on flashing! I am also using physical flash cards to flash to my son and most of the time he's not looking at all, but I just keep flashing. And last week my husband was saying he's not looking means not interested don't flash to him anymore. In order to prove to my husband that he's taking it in. I used problem solving to ask my son where is what. And all the ten cards he was able to point out correctly. So please please continue with whatever you are doing and don't give up!

I've got a bit of a dilemma with languages, actually. I was thinking of introducing written language only in French for the time being (well, for at least 2 years). I do not mind my baby listening to several languages, but the written language is different.
I believe the idea behind teaching the whole word method at such an early age is to gradually incorporate phonics when my daughter starts figuring out rules by herself, and adding another language will just complicate things.
So I'm trying to stick to French only, and I'm thus missing out on all the great presentations.
I was thinking of erasing the English word and typing the French equivalent, but that's a lot of work... Not really up to the challenge 

LuckyMommy, good work with your daughter! I did two problem solving with my daughter a few months ago and it was positive too.

I will follow everyone's advice and keep doing it. I will try at meal time.

By the way does anyone know how to select a few 'lessons' on LR so that they can keep playing one after the other?

You may create Playlists comprised of many individual Categories to play them one after the other!

Simply create a new Playlist, click on the EDIT button, select the Categories you want to play, and then click the "> ALL" button.

It's as simple as that!

Success!
I'm very excited! For the first time this morning my daughter showed interest in LR!
During breakfast time, i usually show her Little Pim, but instead, this morning, i brought her high chair near the computer. I gave her about half her food, then started playing files... and she was looking at most of them! (I should add that I then gave her the rest of her food  )
I did not want to bore her so I stopped after 2 or 3 mn. (which is already pretty long at that age)
So thank you jdhanota, Nikolett and LucyMommy for your advice!

Oh I LOVE LR! Thank you shuki. It's so much easier to have the categories play by themselves...
