hey there,
I'm not sure if what I'm about to say solves your problem, but I'm trying to put together some basic Bengali together for my son and having downloaded the free fonts available I've copied and pasted them into the word editor. Before you save the file, you won't see the font - only the original letters or in the worst case those rectangular boxes that make you think something has gone wrong. BUT after you save them you can see the fonts as you intend them to be seen. Just make sure that when you go to the playback settings, you select "Custom" in the font type field and then select your foreign language font. And then it all seems to work perfectly!
Hope this helps!
