Well, first off, this was already suggested in another post: I would like the folders to be automatically reduced in LR (i.e have the contents hidden) instead of expanded like they are now. I have some folders that have many categories in them, so when they are expanded, they make my list very long! It would be easier to expand them only when I press the + when I want to play something out of them.
As mentioned, already on the list and will be fixed by Beta 1.05, so that when you start LR, it will all be closed, and throughout the session, it will remember whether it was last open or closed.
Secondly, I would like to be able to import into specific folders. Like if I was importing a number set, it would be nice to get an option of "which folder would you like to import this category into" with options of all my folders. I could then specify the appropriate folder or no folder to get it added outside of the folders.
You'll be glad to know that the "import into" feature is also on the list, but slightly lower priority right now.
Also, It would be nice to highlight and select multiple categories to make into playlists in the word library menu. Now you have to do them one by one. I love the button that makes them into playlists; I think it makes it much easier, but it's a pain when converting many categories, I have to convert each one to a playlist separately. It would have been much easier to just highlight them all and press playlist.
We also discussed this internally before. The only complication is that if you select multiple categories and press Auto Playlist, we don't know whether you want to make all selected categories into ONE playlist, or separate playlists for each Category. We would need to put up a pop-up box to ask you what you want to do. This is also on lower priority because I presume most people would only be auto-playlisting in bulk in the beginning, and after that's done, it'd typically just be one-by-one as and when new categories are created or imported.
