How do you use Little Reader?

Here is a question, how are you using LR?  Do you use the curriculum or download files and play them or what?  I am not very technical and only use the curriculum.  Where can I find more instructions.  I see some people on videos playing stories and full sentences.  I would appreciate any advice.

Hi Krista,
I am still finding my way around LR so I hope I can help a little.
In the beginning I only used the curriculum.  If you access the lessons from the advanced play/edit icon located on the top left corner of the little reader home page you can click on categories and ther you will find folders with material from the curriculum you can play as an extra lesson.  There is a folder called BK English Stories and in there you will find the lessons that play stories and full sentences.  I originally found them by checking ahead into the LR Semster 2.  On you tube I saw a video clip of a young girl watching brillkids and it was a song she was singing along to.  I have not located this in my BrillKid program yet and would appreciate it if someone could tell me where it is. 
If you download files, save them to your computer then import them into your LR program so you will always have a backup.  Once imported they will save in your Playlists or Categories section and you can create folders to place them in.

In the top right hand corner you can click on the start guide icon for an introduction.
In the top section of the page if you click on the support icon you can view the manual, common tech problems, general questions, support tools, give feedback and contact the BrillKids Support Team.

Little Reader Library (On the Blue Bar  above) has options for downloading various community files. One I believe is titles"songs"  maybe "songs and videos" and you can find the "what color is the sky" video.
 
Krista G- We use our LR for the curriculum and for a lot of community created foreign language downloads. Have you tried downloading any files yet? Again, click Little Reader Library from the blue bar above and select the topics you are interested in. They will download where ever you have downloads set up to go on your computer. Then open them with LR and it will import them. That's all you have to do. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straight forward. I get intimidated by new technology too, but once I started making my own files and recording my own voice too for custom lessons, I realized it's a lot easier than I thought.

If you go onto your Brillkids, click Download, its right next to Advanced Play/Edit.
It will bring up the Download Library.
Scroll down a little to where it says number of files and you'll see a list of all sorts of different types of files.
If you want songs, just click where is says songs.

Do you have A?
Can I Have a Ball 
and she adores the Japanese Alphabet Song. She will listen to that over and over and over again.

I started with this programme in beta testing before there was a curriculum, so I now use both the curriculum and downloads and create my own stories/categories - I find getting good pictures hard though which is why I haven't uploaded them and only figured out audio recently, but you can always fiddle around until you are used to it to make your own files/categories, however there are a lot you can download too which will help.
