Unfortunately, not in the current build.  Allowing user control over the courses would have created a lot more complications and we didn't have time for that.  However, v2 will allow it.

Hi KL,

Thanks for the free upgrade and the curriculum. I had a few questions- Where is the suggested curriculum for phonics? Sould I expect a new word to be added/ retired each day to the categories that are to be shown in week 1 (action words, animals and parts of the body)?

Thanks.

Phonics lessons are part of the curriculum and start on Day 21.

Hi all,

I have a question.  For Day 001 lesson under Session 1 (Word Flash), there are 18 words?  Is it too much to show for the first time?  I thought we usually start with 5 words only?  I have tried it once yesterday with my 6.5-month old baby and the first few words are ok.  She showed interests and kicked her arms and legs but after maybe 10 words, she then looked around.   Does the curriculum intend to show 18 words?  Or we can choose only to show 5 words?

And should we show all A, B, C for session 1 at a time?

Thanks
Tina

This is a really dumb question.  But where can I find the LM and LR manuals??
Thanks

Tina, feel free to skip/forward the latter words in Word flash if you think it's too long.  Personally, I would just keep it playing and engage her attention again during multisensory.  You don't have to do everything in one go, but it is intended to be done in one go.

Indidee, you can access the manual by pressing the big HELP button on your LR/LM (top right of the screen).

I plan to purchase LR on one of the main reason for my parents to teach second language to my son. I used the trial, liked the concept but do not know how to incorporate another session of 2nd language into LR. I do 2 sessions according to the curriculum (one morning, one evening). How and where can I add in 2nd language sessions?

Thanks,

You can download foreign language content from our File Downloads area or make your own.

Right now, there is no officially-produced BrillKids Foreign language content, but we will be releasing different language curricula sometime next year (hopefully within the first quarter), starting with Mandarin Chinese.

What is your schedule for releasing other languages? I am particularly interested in knowing when German and Spanish will be available.  Thank you.

To add to Laughingwater's question...  Do you have an estimated schedule as to when you'll introduce French?

Sorry folks, all I can tell you is that we hope to get Mandarin out early next year, followed by Spanish and French.  It's hard to give any estimate as to when they will get done, as it involves many factors.  There are no plans for German right now but that might change too depending on demand, partners and resources.
