We will have a baby very soon and will be teaching Chinese, German, French and mathematics as well as English, science, and a lot more.

I am an educational psychologist and have taught my son and step-daughter to be brilliant a long time ago. They both won scholarships to private schools.

I taught the girl 10,000 words from 2 1/2 years of age to 5, and she was 1/2-way through The Hobbit on her first day of school.

I teach the meaning of the words first, then have discussions or games or acting, and then show the words as they are spelt.

I sucessfully taught the rudiments of counting when my son was still in the womb at 8 months. He giggled like anything when he understood. Lot of fun.

I was a member of the SA chapter of the Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential in the 80's.

Anyone want to chat about teaching, or sharing materials, please let me know.

Hi Raymond,

My name is Kimberley I have a very active 2 year old and a baby on the way. I never knew there was a SA chapter of the Institute of Human Potential. Wish I knew about that.

I would love to know more about what you have taught your children. At the moment I work full time which has put a bit of a dampener on things but I finish up work soon. I am also studying early childhood education and I would love to be able to teach other children this wonderful stuff.

I have a friend who would also possibly be very interested in catching up.

Hi Kimba.

I don't know if an Adelaide IAHP group still exists. The benefits of being able to talk with others and share ideas and materials were numerous.

When you have the time, we could meet to discuss things.

My wife is new to these ideas, and she would enjoy meeting others with similar interests in teaching their children from an early age.

This could be the beginning of a local group.
