I practise baby signing method since the birth of my 2nd baby, as i just knew about it few months before delivery
today, both my kids have shown the result of my 1 year journey in baby signing
eg: before sleep they will sign i love you whilst pronouncing 'lub you' hehehe
so sweet right smile

what about other mommies?

wow ..thats great! me & my baby also practise sign language like "please" "open", "yes", "no", "more" and few other sign language. its very interesting & really make our life easier coz our baby seldom tantrum coz we understand the're need..smile

just wondering, how did you all teach your babies sign language? using DVDs? or just books?

if yes, any good recommendations?

Hi, I've practiced signing with my son since he was 6 month old.

Didn't buy any books or DVD. Just check out youtube for video of Firesse.She's super cute and her mom teaches her all kinds of signs.

From there, I taught my son  to sign 'more' (first sign  smile ), good, no, no more, food, water, milk, light, phone, etc.

He signed back at 6 months(esp with food for encouragement,haha)

You can try some sound effects and motionese. really helps
