I have a 5 year old daughter with DS I havent start to teach her to read I really dont know where to start a friend told me about this program but right now I cant afford it  Sad I'm saving hopefully by the end of the year we can do it, any tips on what to do on the meantime?

You can try the free trial to see if it would work for you.

You can apply for a sponsorship from the Brillkids foundation.
Brillkids offer a sponsorship to parents with limited means. Special considerations are granted to parents of special need children.

If you are eligible, you may get LR/LM for free or at a good discounted rate!!!

You can also check with the schools or county special needs programs.  A lot of times they have resource libraries with books, flashcards, and software to check out.

I didn't start LR with my son till he was 4.5 years old and he was able to learn LOTS. He is now 6.5 and learning tons from LMs. I guess it depends on the child though. My little guy loves it, but my 5 year old step daughter could not really care less.
