All these cool products weren't even around when Doman wrote his book, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I agree, preschool prep is awesome! I think I introduced their early alphabet/numbers/shapes/colors DVD;s to my son when he was between 9-13 months or so. In hindsight, if I had to do it again I would skip the shapes and colors and focus only ontheir numbers, letters, sightwords, and phonics. It's a much more important base than colors and shapes, which will come easily later and are not nearly as important.
They have great Iphone/Ipad apps too!
