Anyone has experience with these children programs?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience or opinion about following series:

Playschool

Luvvets

Baby Bumble Bees

 Bible for Beginner cartoons

Bible Cartoons (Richard Rich)

Famous People (Richard Rich)

 Math U See

Thomas the Tank Engine & Bob the Builders series

Preschool Power

Blues Clues

Veggie Tales

Visual Bible

Wiggles

Winnie the Pooh series

Hi5

Playschool

Jay Jay the Jet Plane

I might have a possibility to get some of them  as a very good deal ( but will have to do it soon from the friend of ours), but I would not want to get anything that is not really educational or helpful ( like for instance I would not be interested in Baby Einstein DVDs, you get the idea)

Since I am not familiar with any of the ones mentioned above, I was wondering if anyone is, and if you can write a short review/opinion on it. I am sure it can be helpful for others as well. I think some of them are educational programs while others are more entertaining ones...

Hi, I'm not familiar with some of these but I would say the Baby Bumblebee would be the most educational in terms of reading and counting. Thomas and Bob the Builder, and Winnie the Pooh really dont teach anything at all. I imagine jay Jay the Jet Plane would be the same, much like Budgie the Helicopter. I would call them trivial time-wasting storylines. A lot of waffle to keep the kid quiet, but nothing is really learned. Never heard of luvvets. Hi5 and wiggles are a bit better, but not great. Playschool and Blues clues are Ok, but still not a lot of content. Veggie Tales I never liked. I'm sure there's better dvds and videos out there for learning Bible stories and scripture memorisation. (not involving animated vegetables).
Yes, get preschool Power. That's the best of the lot. Math U see sounds better than the others, though I've had no experience with it. And the bible ones, and famous people sound good...like something would be learned...

Thank you Nikita, yes that makes sense, I definetly dont want anything just for entertaining or sitting the kid in front of TV, I would rather have some books read together. I heard from someone else that Math u see is good, and it is good  to get your opinion on the other couple of worh our time.... So I am thinking of Math u see and Preschool POwer and Bumblebee one... If those are the ones I can use as an additional variety in our school later on... Thank you for your opinion!

Blues Clues are slow moving not so educational videos -where is  the blue rectangle? type (Baby Einsteins are made better) Could be useful in foreign language (heard of kids picking their German up with them)
I have JayJay, it's got some basic moral value, I don't mind kids watching them (3-4 y.o.) if I need a time filler...
VeggieTales are more of entertainment but they do have a solid lesson behind. Silly songs seem to stick the most... I wouldn't show them to a baby.
Bible for Beginner cartoons are nice.

I bet you could look up any of these on youtube and get an idea

btw Thomas was written by a sweet Christian man and has good values   It's slow moving, but my girls like it!

Baby Bumble bee Vocab builder 1-3 is multi-lingual..English, German. spanish, French, Japanese

Preschool Power the Montessori program? It's good, very instructional.

Blues Clues at least is a bit interactive... audience participation.

The Wiggles and Hi5 are both purely entertainment. The Wiggles do attempt to have good messages such as singing a song called "Fruit Salad, yummy yummy" etc but I've yet to see anything but hyperactivity from Hi5. Lots of merchandising goes with these too so kids learn pester power pretty quickly with these ones. Since you are on this forum in the first place these DVD don't really align themselves with what we're all about, early education.
