Hi, I used bob books and my son enjoyed them. I liked the idea of words being grouped to introduce phonics and encouraging my son to read "the whole book". When I first saw the books, I didn't think the pictures were great, but the children seem to have enjoyed them anyway!
The first set is quite simple - and might be too basic if you have already been through the phonics programme...
Another reading programme we have used is Oxford Reading Tree - not necessarily phonics based, but all children seem to love the characters and I thoroughly recommend it. There are some free ebooks available here:
