Baby walker - yes or no?

I believe in Glenn Doman's stressing the importance of crawling to baby's brain development.  And that crawling should be encouraged and that walking will just follow when your baby is ready for it.  Aside from that, I find walkers unsafe, especially with my little one who crawls/creeps very fast, i could just imagine her in a walker zooming all over the room.  Instead of using a walker for our daughter, we use a push toy (mini grocery cart), we also use Walking Assistant / Walking Wings, it's like a padded vest w/ velcro and snap wrapped around her chest and has adjustable straps on the shoulder part where you can hold her, it's also good for the parent's back, you don't have to lean over to assist them in walking

My baby is 8 months old. He's been using it for more than a month. He's okay with it. After finish showering him in the morning, I'll always put him in a walker. He enjoys it and at least, I could do or catch up with those house works. I've 2 more older young kids. I also let them used it until they're able to walk. So, It's fine.

I have found that walkers seem to improve and speed up the learning to walk process. My latest bub had a a walker that didnt walk very well, so she was mainly standing in it... and she didnt walk til 12 months, but her sisters walked at 10 months. have a new walker for the next bub. I dont have them in it all day, just here and there. I like them to be off the floor at times, like when there might be something on the floor I need to clean up before they eat it! Or choke on it. And it's handy for feeding solids, as an alternative to the high chair. Very handy and convenient to just hand them some chopped apple on the walker tray, rather than having to lug them out and strap them into the high chair.
The main issue against walkers is the falling down steps issue. So best to use with those potential hazards corrected, like gates across all stairs or outside steps at the front and back doors. I like walkers. And all my bubs have crawled at 6 months, so using a walker didnt impede their natural development. I think it strenghtened their legs, and burned off more calories...helping them not to be fat. Just dont keep them in it for long periods. I had a walker, I walked at 9 months.
