Doman Books Reviews please...

Am looking at buying GD's book How to teach your baby to read.  Is it worth buying if you know his basic method of how to teach babies to read?  Does anyone have How to teach your baby maths or EK and are these worth buying also.  Many Thanks.

I think it depends if you are looking to follow Doman "exactly" or just use a Doman "inspired" reading program (Like LR and so forth). I personally have not read it b/c my library does not carry it, but have read his "How Start is Your Baby?" book which gives an overview. It was enough for me to figure it out and run with it.

I would check your library first! Hopefully some others who have read it can chime in too.

thanks, i've checked my library but none around me stock it unfortunately.  i'm just wondering if i would gain any more insights from the book but not looking to do a doman exact program.  thanks again

I have a lot of the Glenn Doman books.  I bought them all before finding Brillkids.  What is rather disappointing about them, is How to Teach Your Baby to Read and How to Teach Your Baby Math, are almost exactly the same book.  They are identical, except for the specific sections on math vs reading, and even those have a lot of overlap.  If you understand the methodology, you are probably safe not reading them. However, they were interesting, and a good basis to from which to start.  Personally, if you're going to get any of them, I would get How Smart Is Your Baby.  The first part is geared towards infants, but the book serves as a sort of overview of all his other books.

I have all the GD books, if you don't want to buy them all I'd recommend (in this order)

-How smart is your baby
-Physical excellence book
-multiply your babies intelligence

I think this way you get the most complete explanation without buying every book
