Many years ago, 7 to be exact, I purchased a set of workbooks for my 3 year old daughter. We both loved them. They were very hands on and involved cutting and pasting, tracing, matching, writing and more. After a bit of searching for something to do formal work with my almost 3 year old I again purchased the set of workbooks. I couldn't be happier since she has taken to them and loves to spend time working. The set of workbooks is put out by Rod and Staff.
The best books are the ones your child asks to do on their own. Last night my daughter declared that she was doing her schoolwork. She diligently sat at the table and traced circles and squares, matched colors with the words and did some cutting and pasting.
