My babies are all past the crawling and just learning to walk stage, but my sister has an 8 month old that is very active. She just recently bought a helmet, as she described it, for the baby to protect her head from bumps and bruises the inevitably result from the new found mobility. I had a chance to see this "helmet" and it is adorable. It is not a hard hat, as I was imagining but a soft, flowery hat that keeps her head cushioned if she falls down.
