Here are our favorite Leapfrpg videos, you can borrow many of them on Netflix.
-Talking Letter Factory (several kids we know have learned their letter sounds in just a couple days to a couple weeks with this DVD, mine learned from youtube but it was great reinforcement)
-Talking Words Factory
-Math to the Moon--My kids learned skip counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's from this DVD. The "Sorting Game" song is really cute, "Put the red ones...with the red ones! Put the blue ones....with the blue ones! Put the chartreuse ones over there." Plus they introduce "Fuel Cells" (unifix cubes) which are helpful to purchase from your local teacher store and it makes counting cubes exciting for them because it's just like Leapfrog.
-Numbers Ahoy
-Now that I think about it, I think Math Circus was pretty good too. Maybe there just aren't as many DVD choices for Math out there to pick from in general.
"Fuel Cells" you can get to go with the Math to the Moon.

Code word caper was not as good IMO. It teaches Silent E but if you're dealing with a younger toddler I think Silent E is better taught with My Montessori House or just demonstrating the rule with flashcards. Let's Go to School was valuable in preparing the kids to go to school. It also reinforced the months of the year for my kids and a few other basic concepts. Storybook Factory was just okay as well. All of these are "nice to have" in your collection for variety but the ones listed above were the most valuable "can't miss" DVD's for our family.
Also, I can't miss mentioning the Tag pen. Both of my kids have loved it. It's been great for building vocabulary and they have so much fun with it and don't know they're learning. The best deal out there are the 4 Boxed Sets that gradually introduce more complex phonics rules for $19.99 each or less if you buy them all in a bundle on their website. The character books range from $10-15 EACH so the price difference is significant and they are much better teaching tools than the commercial Disney books. The font is bigger and the sentences are shorter with fewer words per page.

Has anyone tried the Learn to Write series with Mr. Pencil that works with the Tag pen? I used one of their electronic drawing gadgets in Barnes & Noble and was not impressed, so I have not been quick to purchase this set. I am sitting here watching their kids play with their new Christmas toys and wishing Santa had picked one up last week.
