A while ago while discussing IQ testing on another thread and looking up some statistics, I came across this website
www.testingmom.com . After reading a bit into it, their end goal is different that ours (which is to obviously score high on a test) but the daily one-on-one parent-child quality time with a focus on education that they encourage isn't much different than what we do, and her reasons and background are honorable for sure (in helping her son.) I know many are anti-testing, so I just thought I would mention that.
Anyway, while browsing math DVD's on youtube tonight I came across this woman again, this time promoting a board game to help prepare children for IQ testing. While I'm not sure what kind of school I'll be putting my kids in, or homeschooling them?, but I don't think I need to prepare them for a test so much, but I like the idea that this product introduces a variety of questions/topics that I may have overlooked. For example, we haven't really gotten into analogies which is one of the example questions she gave with the game.
So I thought I might pass this along as I have never really seen any other products on the market like this and I know some people here may be in a situation where their school of choice does require this type of testing.
