Polyglot Baby Method for 7 Languages

This is interesting to me because at one point I raised the question of teaching languages at the *SAME TIME*, side by side, to be more efficient. I never tried it because I didn't know if it would work? But that is exactly what these dvd's are doing.....times 7. Although I must mention that the music note colors are all wrong.

I like these! Pity they make it so difficult to order any!
I think it's 7 languages ( according to the website)  plus music in total but I only counted 4.... But I wouldn't know the difference between half of them anyway. 
My kids were captivated even with the cartoons.

I thought so too, it said 7 but then I counted 5? I couldn't tell so I went with 5.

These really look great!
I really would like to try them as I think this is how Alex sees language. She HATES when I try to do separate lessons for languages. And because we use ASL as a bridge, she will say a word in say, English, Spanish, and French, and then sign it...to her they are all the same thing.

I think this is an exceptional way to learn the vocabulary, but then have separate immersion sessions for speaking/conversations?

It does seem exceptionally difficult to obtain them, but I think I will try a phone call on Monday. It can't hurt, and the video clip quite captivated Alex!

I can pick up 4 languages but not 7. Although I still think my dd's would love them.

I could only pick out four as well, but figured I would ask about this when I called.
BTW, when I went hunting for more info, I found this video. I clicked on it because It was entitled 'Scientific support...' And mentioned Patricia Kuhl. Although in the video itself I did not find any mention of her specifically.

Here are my 5 cents regarding the Polyglot baby program. I don´t have it, but I´ve seen it on the international book fair in Mexico. It looks very very interesting, unfortunately, their prices are waaaay out of our reach (last time I asked it was about $900). Their reasoning is, if you sign your kid up to learn 7 languages you´ll end up paying much more than this... Well, i don´t know how much is the whole set these days, but if we could afford it we would definitely get it. The program is designed for children under 7 years old, it includes 10 DVD´s, 7 languages (German, Mandarin, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portugese), it looks like they teach 300 words in each of these languages. It´s a 3D animation and they cover things like colors, domestic and wild animals, insects, body parts, things around the house, sports, food, clothes, family, occupations... The set also includes 210 flashcards with the pictures taken from the videos, a dictionary (word and picture) of the 7 languages, lesson plan and magic album with extra activities. If anybody is interested, I would find out how much do they charge these days and if you send me the money plus shipping (we´re talking mexico here, the shipping is not the cheapest, but it´s just an idea), I´ll get it for you. Actually, the end of November there will be a couple of book fairs here and I´m sure they will have a representative here. Usually they try their best to promote this program at these events and they offer lower prices.
