@PokerDad: Indeed, I think you are right, my son will not be able to play this guitar game yet, but still, a link to the channel you are talking about might even help me decide, that would be great thanks.
@newage: Ah, thank you for mentioning the scholarship, where did you hear about it?
Unlike many other children from EL parents, Wilhelm is not really showing many signs of advancement, but he has been receiving lots of special attention from the time when I was 3 months pregnant. Two developmental areas that DOES stand out is his fine motor skills and his language. Recently he has really been focusing on my hands while I'm playing guitar, he can pick and strum well and is beginning to hold his small acoustic guitar properly (when he was a baby, I use to lay the guitar flat in front of him.)
I've also heard of many EL parents starting their LO's on the violin as young as 2 years old, making the idea of learning to play guitar at this age sound a bit more realistic.
I've bought quite a few "not age appropriate" toys and things over the last 2 years, and I've noticed that showing him how to play early on speeds up his "managing to play himself" and his interest in months to come. If I do decide on buying this guitar game, maybe it would be a year of me and my hubby playing alongside Wilhelm before he manages by himself, but I think it might be worth it, and man, it looks fun too!
