We are having tremendous success learning piano using soft mozart. All three kids and myself! We absolutley love it and I couldnt recommend it more highly 
The creator Hellene has plans to expand the software so that ANY music piece can be programmed into the software, thus enabling everyone to play and learn their favourite pieces. For our kids that means they can learn to play piano with songs that are their favourites, songs that are culturally significant and coordinate lessons with external teachers in school more easily. Truely amazing potential!

If Hellene is able to win a grant then the software will be so much better and we will all benefit as we teach our children and ourselves piano!!  Imagine being able to convert any of your favourite music to a piece that can be played easily on the piano!!!

It is really very nice Piano learning and teaching system. My son in age of 2.7 years old able to play SM songs in Piano.

You know what ? I wouldn't say the program is amazing, I would say that both the inventor - Hellene Hiner - and the people using the software are amazing!
Why? It's built on logic and on years of experience of a music teacher. And you need people to use it and see how fun and useful it can be to learn with it. These two combined, along with the teacher's (online) guidance bring amazing results

Maryofus, what a great birthday present!
It's a great program it makes piano learning accessable to everyone. Even those with NO musical knowledge can learn to play. But better than all that it makes practicing piano FUN! As a mum who has sat through her share of traditional music lesson practice sessions, this program is just brilliant. I hope they wil the grant because I can see the future possibilities and it astounds me  It could be that every learns to play piano in school, or group piano lessons for teenagers, or even preschool piano classes, a room full of 4 year olds who can all play their favourite songs! This would do wonders for their fine motor control. The changes in my son have been astronomical...even mothers at school are commenting on his behaviour and demeanor. The grade one teacher asked me if he was going to grade skip into her room next year...because he is so focussed and attentive now.
At two it will be a slow trip for a few months but I know brillkids mums can do it. Get some support in the forum when you get stuck or frustrated. He would be well ahead if he had done Little Musician too.

I youtubed Soft Mozart last month and saw some videos of adult-beginners playing it. I was thinking of teaching piano to myself first and then teach my child little by little until she gets the hang out of it. I'm a techie kind of person and love to play with just about any software that interests me. Hopefully, Soft Mozart software will work for me and my baby.

It's also fun to see my child climbing the piano bench by herself at my mom-in-law's house and "playing" the piano. My mom-in-law will surely be happy if my child learns how to play piano since she was a pianist before but can't teach now because of her MS.

My son is 4 now. He will start his first school year next year which we call prep ( the one before first grade) we have an enthusiastic but relaxed approach to our piano lessons. Others more committed than me achieve way more! I know my kids have years to learn so I am in no rush. 
If you try your utube search again now you will get lots more hits of children learning. Including a lovely boy playing jingle bells with two hands and singing! He was 3 when he started I think.  You can find some videos of  ( my boy)  playing too, but I am loading more this week so wait until the 30th, the recital deadline! there will be videos of my whole family by the 30th as well as lots of other soft Mozart learners from around the world. Search for "soft Mozart recital" for maximum hits
I am learning to play too. I have always wanted to learn but found beginning piano lessons SO SO SO dull! I love learning with soft Mozart and am much further along in my journey in just 4 months than i ever would be in beginner lessons. Without a doubt! We love that it is a "computer game" with real value.
I cannot reccomend the forum highly enough ( I talk as much over their as i do here  ) for ideas, support and motivation! As well as some awesome free resources to help teach little ones created by brillkids mums

Hi Manda! I had fun watching ALL your videos and I actually subscribed to your YouTube channel to keep me up to date with your family's journey with Soft Mozart!!! Your videos are inspiring! In just a short amount of time, you all learned how to play piano so well. Awesome!

By the way, what a fun and awesome family you have! The videos of your son doing some goofy stuff just makes  my day!!!

  thankyou so much. Oh yes I try not to take it all too seriously. I post the crazy things my kids do as a way to show other mums that we don't have perfect music lessons every day and that sometimes singing to the chickens and playing piano in rubber gloves is all we can manage and we still make progress! Jaykob actually won the recital award for "Highest Comedic Value".     
 Another more ' professional' approach would get us there faster, but we are having loads of fun along the way.
I should mention that although our progress looks great it is truly just a scratch at the surface of what is possible with softmozart in the same time period. My son is lazy at practice and I am lazy at making him  It is quite realistic to expect 6 songs with both hands from memory in the first few months, with daily practice. Yes from a 3 or 4 year old.
Myself personally I practice in spurts, one week I will practice every day for 30 mins or more ( after the kids are in bed) then I will have a few days ( or weeks)  off.( yep life is busy and hubby wants attention too  ) I spend too much time on easy stuff, not enough time on challenging stuff and not nearly enough time sight-reading. BUT I can play piano! Amazing! I couldn't say that last Christmas!
I shall be sure to post more to the utube channel for you, I am waiting for Jaykob to let me video him playing from memory with both hands, I know he can do it. I have a few more on the softmozart forum that are locked to that link.
For the record we got the 250 required votes, thanks to all of you who voted fingers crossed for the funding.
