Suggest Products for Review!! (Please help!)

My son LOVES the BBC foreign language course Muzzy.

It has 4 DVDs per set--two are shows in English and two are the exactly same shows in the second language.

I've learned some Chinese from it, but I don't know if it's truly a good way to learn. I'd love to see it reviewed...because it's expensive, and with times like they are people should use their baby-building library money wisely

Just to share a bit more about Tweedlewink and WINK to LEARN.

Tweedlewink helps the child to be exposed to a range of words since young. It's very good for exposure as esp. using flashcards methodology. Wonderful program!

WINKtoLEARN: Their focus is a little different. They wanted their customers i.e. children to be able to speak and also READ chinese. The innovative way to do it is to use different bright colours for different parts of a Chinese word so that children are able to recognize the word even more effectively. Every lesson is only less than 4 minutes so that the program stops before the child wants to stop. Just like what Glenn Doman always recommend.

In a nutshell, Tweedlewink is more inclined towards Shichida right brain training. WINK to LEARN is more towards Glenn Doman. Saw their website: they are coming out with an English version. It would be interesting to see how they innovate from Glenn Doman to increase the effectiveness of helping kids with spelling and words recognition.

Why not just tell people who you are and be upfront about it?  We welcome product-manufacturers/distributors, under these conditions:

I just got an email that the baby brain flash cards are finally available on DVD here in the US. I was wondering if anyone outside the US has tried them yet, since they have been available for some time now. I would like to know about the content and the pictures. Is it just words flashing or encyclopedic knowledge? Are the pictures real or clip art/cartoons?

I can't find a preview of the actual DVD anywhere.

Apologies if I had caused much concern to your kind self.

I stand by YBCR, Glenn Doman, Brainy Baby, Baby Einstein, Tweedlewink. Had all these at my home; used them for my three kids. I am impressed with the abovementioned english titles. But my main problem is Chinese. I am unable to  obtain good materials esp. right brain or flashcard related till wink to learn comes about.

My third son is now 16 months. He is effectively bilingual and able to recognize both English and Chinese words. English methods: Glenn Doman, YBCR. Chinese : wink to learn. I would love to share with everyone his home video on recognizing different Chinese words.

I am a Chinese and I love my language. I want to share with more fellow chinese about good products that we can help our next generation to retain our mothertongue. This is a desire whereby it can be felt by many Chinese parents in USA esp. the macro environment makes it very difficult for a child to be strong in Chinese. Even for non-Chinese parents, this is a fabulous program as well.

I felt that there are enough people sharing about English programs. Why not someone introducing good Chinese programs in this forum? There are indeed a large group of parents who face the same struggle and challenge as me.

Over 2-3 months, I had only sent out 4 postings/replies. I have really no intent to spam otherwise, I would be more prolific.

Hi!

I had tried this as well. A friend bought it back from malaysia as it's from a malaysia company. The pictures are a mixture of illustrations and real. Within the same flash, the picture takes up 3/4 of the screen with the word at the bottom. I am not sure if this is considered as words flashing or encyclopedic knowledge.

Please don't get me wrong - we welcome references to other sites, especially useful ones.  It's just that it seems from your posting history that you are part of the Wink to Learn business, and if you are, it'd be better if you just say that you represent them (eg., you're the owner, representative, or whatever), like how Wennie represents Right Brain Kids on this forum.  And in fact, if you are, there may even be partnership opportunities. Let's take this matter to PM if necessary.

Dear All,

  I had no idea there were so many programs available until reading this thread!

We have YBCR and Doman Reading/Math/Phsysical and plan to get Encyclopedic Knowledge as well; and LR Lite with plans to upgrade soon. 

I feel that I need to be consistent with these programs before considering other products - and it is good to know that so many are available.

opsss  I also forgot to mention that I am also teaching my daugther chinese and I have encounter the same problem that you have - lack of good quality materials. for that reason I have produced myslef most of the flash cards I have thought Leena; among the websites I Like and use (has become one of my favorites) is :

I have a chinese tutor that review the ppts before I give them to my daughter just to play safe, as I dont speak Chinese.
