Is Meet the Sight Words good?  For what age is it best?  And can we show it while doing the regular flash cards?

Anyone have good results with it?

I just checked the DVD at the library. I haven't had a chance to watch it, but I remember reading another forum where a member said that she liked Meet the Sight WOrds better than YBCR.  She mentioned that this DVD worked better for her child.  Sorry, that's all the imput I can give you.  smile

It was recommened to me here on this site. We have Your Baby Can Read and are borrowing the Preschool Prep meet the site words.

My daughter started with your baby can read and while she seems to enjoy it it doesn't hold her attention long.

We have watched the meet the site words twice now and she seems to really like them. She stays focused the entire time and is repeating the words. She has also picked up a couple of the words already.

My daughter is 18 months old and this dvd series could easilybedone with flashcards and/or little reader.
We are already practising the YBCR words on LR and flashcards so I won't be adding these ones yet.

I find these boring myself, but I read reviews before I bought andparents wre saying their kids were learning quickly, within 2 weeks. But i cant have them on too much, as they are really boring and even bub doesnt have a great attention span with them. You learn 15 words per dvd.

i'm writing up a few product reviews next which might be of interest.
