I mostly wanted it for the 9 DVDs, although most of them I think are straight phonics, I think some might not be, not 100% sure (the FUNdamentals ones are more general learning I think from what I have read, I'm not sure if they are included in this set or not).
We started the Montessori house DVD's that teach phonics and they are GREAT for my kids, so I wanted to get more phonics DVD's. I will be buying the preschool prep "Meet the Phonics" when it comes out before the end of the year, so then we should be good on phonics DVD's unless something really great catches my eye (including the leapfrog ones we already do and then other LF ones I have coming on Netflix). I really like DVD's for reinforcing letter sounds and DD learns so effortlessly through DVD's. We don't do "regular" TV or kids shows and we were running a bit dry on material. Oh, and I need to get the TW phonics too I guess.
Are there any others phonics DVD's out there that I am unaware of?
