I would like to know which early learning products you have, which one is your favorite(s) and which one you wouldn't buy again if you were to start all over again.

I'll go first, we have:

- YBCR
- Little Pim (Mandarin)
- Baby Signing Time Vol. 1 (I'm waiting for Vol 2. - Vol. 4)
- Doman Math Cards
- LR
- LM
- Pimsleur Quick & Simple Mandarin Chinese

So far, we like and use them all. We have not regreted any of the purchases. I'm learning how to use LR and LM, but so far so good.  smile

Now that I put them in writing sounds like soooo much  blink but everything is relatively short and some of them are for different aspects of the learning process. I'm thinking about getting a couple more programs. blush  That is why I decided to start this post  big grin

We have:

YBCR - Love it! Especially the flashcards, we take these everywhere. The best is church, they are nice and quiet and keep his attention.

Little Pim - Spanish - Also adore this one.

Tweedlewink Math - Didn't care for it as much, but to be honest didn't really use it faithfully. They don't have a way to jump to a new lesson so you have to fast forward through all the previous lessons to get to the one you're on. This was time consuming and we gave up.

Little Reader - Lite - Love being able to put personalized pictures and videos on. Hoping to purchase the full version soon.

We have:

LR - Our favorite because it is so versatile.  I use it for both of my kids (son age 6 and daughter just 2) nearly every day.

LM - I just got it, but haven't started with it yet.

YBCR - We use it but not up to the degree that the program recommends.  It's great but my stubborn 2 yr old likes to refuse it - joys of the terrible twos.  I think she likes it but enjoys disappointing me even more.  Currently she might watch about half of a video every other day.  Fortunately she finds the flap books and flash cards irresistable so we do get to review words daily.

Hooked on Phonics - for my son age 6.

Hooked on Math - in the past for my son.

Kumon workbooks - all sorts of subjects- paper folding, paper cutting, coloring, tracing, numbers, letters, etc.

We have:
LR
LM
YBCR (He did not get a lot out of these as he just watched the scenes, but now that he is recognizing so many words maybe we will try again)
Meet the Sight Words (We've had good results wiht word recognition with this)
Leap Frog (He loves these the letter one is particularly good, the other ones teach good concepts but I haven't seen the same impact as the letter one):
      Letter Factory
      Math Circus
      Word Factory
      Code Word Caper
      Story Book Factory
Kumon:
   Upper case letters
   Cutting
   Numbers 1-20
Of the following three I have him choose 1 a day to do a lesson in:
The Ordinary Parents Guide to Teaching Reading
Reading Eggs
Starfall

Congratulations to those moms that use that many programs.

It would be nice to now the age of the kids.

I recently started Encyclopedic Bits with my 26 month old grandson. He runs to see the figures when I mention it. At the end he claps and wants to play music on the piano. (really only pressing some notes).

Music:
I bought DVD Introducion Trebellina but have to pick it in the USA. When we start it I will post comments.

Reading:
Planning to start YBCR or LR (not decided) in english even though spanish is our first language (we are Peruvians). That way he willl learn English and reading at the same. Now he refers to the animals in english because of all the books. And he sings Goodnight moon also in english.
Afterwards I will look for products to teach him Chinese or French.

See how he likes books and reading before he was 16 months old:

Primer Libro de franco

Thanks to everybody!  smile There are a couple of products I had not conseider like Leap Frog. I need to look into it. Also, I need to go back and read at the post on Kumon Method.

I forgot to include in my list Baby Hook on Phonics. This was the first DVD my daughter saw. At the beggining she loved it. Now that she has been watching ansd seeing other materials, when I try to play it for her, she starts crying  Sad So I'm not using it anymore.

We also have hand made flash cards, which are a saver when ou are in a hurry and don't have to time to set up your computer.

So far we have used Signing Time and the first DVD of Your Baby Can Read.  Signing Times is a hit with the whole family, including grandparents.  But my daughter does not have alot of interest in YBCR thus far.

Why did you say that making regular flash cards is easier than using computer?  Besides, being more portable, I thought that convenience/ time saving was one of Little Readers biggest benefits over regular flash cards.  Could you explain... because we are looking to buy Little Reader and that was one of our reasons in favor.

Thank you.

SasquatchDad,

I'm sorry I was not clear enough  ohmy  I was just reading my message and it was kind of crazy. Let me clarify, we use the hand made flash cards when we are in a place where is easy to pull out your flash cards, show them 10 seconds and be done with it. Flash cards are definetly more time consuming to make than any presentation in LR. Plus there are so many files already created that you can download. You can't bit that  nowink . I highly recommend LR and I'll definetly buy it before the price goes up. I did  big grin

Let me know if you have any more questions.  Wink
