The Lisa Childs Piano Books - for teaching kids to play piano

I would like to buy a keyboard and start teaching my 3 years old daughter playing a kayboard. I do not know how to play myself and there is none in my neighbourhood who is willing to teach kids at so early age.

I have read about the Lisa Childs Piano Books. The book 1 - they say - is for the beginner, children from 3 years of age.  Although colour is used in this book, the Lisa Childs method is not a ‘colour system’. Colour is used here as a visual stimulant to make it easier to follow, rather than the traditional ‘alphabet’ method. Young children can start to play the piano before they know their ABC, and can also be taught by parents who need not be pianists themselves, but can enjoy learning along with their children. By the end of this book the pupil will be playing pieces with both hands. This book has 96 pages.

I would like to know if anybody has this book and has tried teaching his little child using the book. Please let me know, I am really eager to learn more before I decide to buy their 4 books.

I have not heard of this program.  Although I will have to look into it. The one I was thinking about using for my son was Piano for Preschoolers, recommended also staring at age 3.  It starts initially with the regular notes on the staff in color, with the color matching a strip which goes behind the keys, and it transitions to the notes no longer being colored.  They have a very good website (http://www.pianoforpreschoolers.com/songslessons.html?gclid=CJvNwJOSspcCFQJHxwod4RTbjQ) and their program is only $39.99. It includes a 17-song music book, a 17-track CD, a 19-lesson parent/teacher handbook, and two keyboard color strip guides (one for full-sized piano, and one for mini-key keyboard). They also have many additional songbooks and by the time you are done with the course the child should be able to pick up a beginner level song book from any music store and play. I thought you might want to look into this program if you are reluctant to make a large monetary commitment by purchasing 4 books all at once.

I want to buy a regular keyboard for my 3-years old daughter (probably Yamaha PSR E313 or E413) but I am not sure if it is not too big for her little fingers. I know there are smaller sizes for little kids but then we would have to buy the second keyboard later. Does anyone have any experience with a size of a keyboard for little kids? Can they start learning on regular size keyboard? Thank you.

I would recommend a full-scale keyboard even from young. It doesn't have to have all the keys (ie., like a proper piano) - 5 octaves will be more than enough. But I think the size of the keyboard should be proper size, not mini.
