Babyplus

Has anyone used Babyplus?  I saw a review on Amazon about hurting the hearing. Just wondering what the opinion of it is here.

I used it during my pregnancy, I also read about the hearing thing so I always used it with a towel wrapped. Connor is now 7 months old, he is health, very alert, good eater, slept through the night ever since he was born...and all the good stuff... I dont know if I can credit babyplus of how he turned out, but I will use it when I get pregnant the next time. hope this helps

I am pregnant now and really wanted to use it, but when I read about the possibility of it damaging my baby's hearing I decided not to use it. For me it was just too high a risk. I did make a CD of my husband and I reading some books that I play to my unborn baby, but the volume is much lower than Babyplus.  When I first came across Babyplus I was so excited because there are so many people who have had good results, but it seems like it might make a difference to baby's hearing how your baby is positioned in the womb, and without being able to tell that I could not risk damaging her hearing. I was quite dissapointed to not feel safe using it.

I heard about BabyPlus when I was a practicing pediatric physical therapist.  I was very interested in it because I was visually observing such amazing developemental.  I remember a set of twins that were born premature.  I couldn't believe how well the twins were developing.  The mom explained to me that she wore BabyPlus when she was pregnant, so I became very interested.  I read all about the system and decided I was going to use it.  My husband would tease me and call it the "bum bum".  He doesn't tease me anymore, he's a believer.  I felt that it was just as important to use as prenatal vitamins after my first child was born.  I used BabyPlus with all three of my children ages 5, 3, and 2.  I would totally use it again.  I credit BabyPlus for all of my children's good sleeping habits.  They are and always have been great sleepers, which is so important to a new mom.  They were happy babies and transitioned very well.  I really feel that BabyPlus is an early developmental tool that you can use to help your baby a good start....Best wishes on a healthy pregancy.

I forgot to mention that I wore it over my clothes and sometimes I would wear it to bed and it would be directly on my skin.  My kids don't have any hearing problems.  Hope this is helpful.

I used Babyplus too.. Before i started using it, I was also concern about hearing problems, so i talk to my doctor and he told me it would be fine, told me to go ahead ,so i did. I use it once in the morning and once in the evening around 4pm. Sometimes when i am out and was not able to play it for her, she would kick me very hard, as if she is reminding me. I m not sure is it a coincident, but it happen a few times, seems that she liked it alot. However, after she was born, she was not easy to look after, always want to be held, does not sleep through the night, i had a really hard time taking care of her for the first few months. I was on my way to Japan shortly after she was born, so i had to send her to a babysitter for 2 months when she was 3 months old. She cried so much when she was away from me. In the evening, she would cry and want to go for walks. The nanny told me when she take her into the house, she would start crying again. Nanny told me she wants to wait for me outside, i really have no idea. When i started taking care of her again when she was about 5 months old, she was fine. And she is still doing great!Did Babyplus helped? I have no idea. Oh, and she have no hearing problems.
