Wink and Tweedle Wink Program

Just want to say Hi to Wennie, nice to see you at the Read Malaysia 2010 Book Fair, bought a math DVD.

My daughter Ella is 31 months old. I started showing her the Tweedlewink DVDs at 16 months old and finished the 6 volumes (with some gaps in between). I am now currently starting over from volume 1 as it has been more than 6 months since I last showed them to her. My question is: according to the Tweedlewink Overview Chart, Ella is currently at the Preschool stage (going by the characteristics listed for each age group and not by the actual chronological age). Here is the list of characteristics for the preschool stage according to the chart:

- reads letters and words
- understands basic math concepts (add/subtract)
- organizes material mentally (match/sequence/classify)
- expresses imagination
- expresses independent ideas
- focus time up to 30 minutes

all of which Ella already does. The recommendation for this stage is:

- 60% RB input and 40% LB input
- Lesson time: 60 minutes
- Educational videos: 120 minutes per day
- Background audio learning: 180 minutes per day
- Start WINK program

However, on the rbkids website, the recommended age for Wink is 6 years old (I think).

I feel that she is very left-brain dominant for her age and, for that reason, may not be getting as much out of the TW lessons as she could. Should I start Wink to maximize her right brain learning potential?

Hello!

My daughter is now 27 months, and i realise that i have not done much to prepare her for school. I have to really do something about it. I would like to purchase the Tweedle Wink program for her to watch at home while i am at work. Does it need a lot of parent involvement? Since it is on a DVD, my MIL can put it on for her.

Also, does anyone have a discount coupon to share with me? Its a bit of money to pay at one-time.

I have purchased the 12 dvd package and saved over USD 50. Really looking forward to receive the package!

Upon purchasing the package, there are instructions to download some 12 or 13 files. One for each DVD. However, i realised, after downloading all of them, that they are all the same!

Did u or anyone else on this forum encountered that? I wrote to Right Brain Kids about it, and hope they reply to me soon!

Hi Pixy, yes they are all the same - it's basically a guide on how to use your DVD's. I did the same as you and discovered after number 2 that they were the same :-)

Enjoy using them, I just know you will love them!

Aangeles, I'm in the same position as you, wondering if I should transition out of the TW into W. 

I have contacted the customer serivce from Rightbrain and asked if both could be viewed, some days or weeks TW and some Days or Weeks Wink? Would it benefit him by watching both? and what they recommend? I'll keep u posted when they reply.

I have emailed Wennie from rightbrainkids as well but have not gotten a reply yet. In any case, after reading through the FAQs section about the Wink program on their website, I will probably start Wink and Memory Magic with Ella in the next 3-6 months while continuing TW at the same time.

Dear all experienced mommy and daddy, i have been struggling, dunno how to start teaching my baby girl. i have been showing her flash card everyday, + i intend to send her to tweedlewink program once a week but currently still waiting for their available slot.
then i came accross tweedlewink dvds......can anyone guide me how to use it? I'll just have to play and show her everyday, that's it? I truly believe in right brain development, just that there are too many forums and discussion about this until i am blur..
need advice from u all.
oh ya, if i want to purchase the dvds, where do i get discounted coupons?

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if this was posted here at BK, I haven't seen it. RBK released the final installment of TW dvds today. That is volumes 10 -12.
Also they are offering a $10.00 off each dvd special today.

I did try to use a a forum shop coupon in conjunction with this offer, but it didn't work. I guess they are only accepting one coupon code at a time.

Sorry if this was already announced.
