I am going to try and post this before my son wakes up, so forgive me as I rush-

I wasn't 100% thrilled with the video quality when I first got it, but my daughter adores watching "Lina." About 2 weeks after we got it, we were listening to a compilation cd of classical music and a piano solo of Fur Elise came on, my daughter, then 18.5 or 19 months or so turned around and said "Piano!" She really was absorbing the information. She loves it, she is learning notes, we go over them on her xylophone and now her little keyboard. I've created some homemade stickers with the colored notes and their letters to put on her keyboard and now she loves to watch and push the keys as "lina" teaches the notes.

Again, from the adult perspective I think the cartoon animations could be greatly improved, but my kid loves it so it doesn't really matter does it? (For what it's worth, I said the same thing about the animations and quality of YBCR and we use that program everyday!)

I would love it if there was a Trebellina LR file to just reinforce the notes and their sounds only, my kid would really get a kick out of that. I wish there was a segment at the end were they just covered the notes again in a recap, so my daughter could play along with the keyboard. Also, it would be GREAT if they made Trebellina stickers that had the colored notes to stick on the keyboards with the colors/letters.

About the flashcards- They are great, I love that they match exactly hat Trebellina teaches, but I have 2 issues with them.
1- On the flashcard, C & D both look red, D is supposed to be orange like it is on the DVD. It's hard to tell, even in great lighting, the printer needs to adjust the color settings.
2- So many Doman parents use this DVD it seems and we are all prefer the the oversized flash cards. It would be great if they sold both the big ones and the small ones, OR you could email the PDFs of the big flashcards when you purchase the small ones (upon customer request) so the customer could print them on 8.5 x 11 paper at home. The small ones are great for the diaper bag, but ideally they would be extra large, at least half of an A4 sheet like most BrillKids parents use for LR, if not larger.


I will add in anything else I can think of later.

Does anyone know of a scrapbooking hole punch that is of musical notes? 

Then with construction paper I could make basic music scores out of each of the color notes.  Just until they associate where the notes are like on the staff.  After they understand and can read the notes they "know" from Trebellina, then switch over to black/white.

If you are going to make them to print out actual "music" with colored notes for your child to read, you might want to consider this one because both the single notes and the double ones. I am so musically illiterate, I am still learning and don't know what the differences are, but I bet you do!

This was one of the first products i bought after learning about it from this forum. I was so delighted that it is one of the reasons why i keep reading about parents sharing their experience and i am learning more each time about kid education.
