Hi, FW:

This is Wennie from Right Brain Kids. I just posted an answer to a similar question like yours last night. I guess there are many different places on the Forum people ask similar questions, so you can look under early learning --> general discussion --> Right Brain Training and see our answer.

Thanks for your answer.  It did answer my questions.

Dear Pamela,

Thank you for your thoughtful response. Sorry to have not replied sooner - I was suddenly swamped with work and the baby and I have both been sick (I still am). Also, I found your reply by accident, not having quite figured out the new email notification around here.

For those with children eager for more Tweedlewink, I completely understand their wanting you to forge ahead instead of retracing your steps. It doesn't do much for my disappointment, but I do understand. I was looking forward to Lesson 13, to see if the quality improved, so you can imagine my further disappointment when I opened Volume 4, only to find Volume 3 inside! I showed Marina some of the Phonics, Math and Language dvds for the first time this morning instead. I guess I'll contact you directly to sort that out.

I just checked a couple of the perfect pitch modules and they are perfect - phew!

I also just looked again at the "northern/niagara" pic on my computer and paused it to get a good look. I don't see how this can be northern lights, but it's not a good shot of the falls either... I live in Toronto - if you're close to the lake we could sail over for a visit in the summer!

As to Marina's reaction, I was so used to her wanting to watch YBCR and Signing Time videos over and over, that I just expected the same reaction. She will tolerate TW in small doses which is how they're supposed to be viewed, after all. I usually ask her if she wants to watch them at breakfast time, that way she's in her chair and might actually watch some of it. I wonder how much is getting in when she's not watching the screen, but I guess once the series is finished, we can go back to the beginning again. She may be more interested then, as well. It thrills me to think that she might actually know the periodic table before she's two - I never made it to Grade 12 Chemistry, so I'm learning it (like so many other things) with her.

Anyway, I must run - I hear her rattling her tin cup along the bars of her crib - naptime must be over!

Best,

LTD

Hi Wennie and Pamela!

Thank you for posting information about TweedleWink DVD Learning Series.
This helps a lot especially when I have to discuss and to explain the product and Right Brain Education to my friends and colleague.
As you know, me and my wife wanted the kids of our friends and collegues to experience what our son had experience with the program.
They are really amazed with our son's abilities right now and of course all of these are the combination of the programs and products that we had invested our son to have. And rightbrainkids is a part of it.

Aside from your website, now I just let them read what you posted here and I think that explains a lot.  smile

We have changed the way we are watching these and decided to purchase the rest of the series.

Now, I get a DVD from the library - something non-fiction like fire trucks, garbage trucks or airplanes, which he gets to pick out.  I let my son watch that while I get some things done.

Then, when he is done he was the choice to watch the video he watches with mommy (TweedleWink), watch computer videos (my PowerPoint presentations) or read books.  He chooses and when he wants to watch TweedleWink I hold him in my lap and we watch together.  We don't do it everyday but he will sit for them just fine if I'm holding him.  I like them and think they are showing him things I would never think to make presentations of.  I don't have a well-rounded plan for what I'm teaching him now so with this I feel he is getting more of that.

I'm interested in the (Tweedle) Wink Programs.
Due to restricted budget I must decide between the products they offer.

To those you have experiences with their products, do you recommend the overview course more or the  DVD set more?

Earlier in this thread you talked about the TweedleWink manual. I know it is very very expensive. But can that manual substitute the TweedleWink and/or Wink Overview Course?

Does the online course have subtitles for non-native English speaker?
And one more question, how long is the Tweedle Wink course (and Wink Course) ? 90min? 120?

Sorry for the late reply. I used program Goldwave that enables it. If you do not have this program or any other appropriate one, I would recommend you to record it with microphone when it is really quiet around in the room. It would not be the great quality recording but at least you would be able to listen to it offline anytime.

pupisek,

Do you know if the trail version of Goldwave will allow to record the course? They say with the trail just some of the commands work. I'm thinking about getting it, but just as you said online may not be the best option for me.

Thanks!

Hi Joha, unfortunately I do not know. I used a regular version of Goldwave to do it. Martina

I’ve recently purchased the Tweedle Wink overview course.  As I always have internet connection problem, I also prefer downloading the audio files to listen offline. For Part 1 of Module 1, I managed to right click the MP3 icon and clicked “save target as” to download the audio file as per the instruction on the site.  However, I could not do so for the rest of the audio files.  After numerous failed attempts, I emailed them about my problem and they were kind enough to create a special download for me via email after a few days.  Maybe you want to try emailing them.

Can the maker of the Tweedle Wink program give us information on what results babies on the programs are getting.  It seems like to products have been out long enough for some kids to be grade school age by now.  What are the results, can we have either parent testimonial, videos, or list of "accomplishments."

Dear All:

I wish I could have been here more often to address your concerns right away. After browsing some of the discussions, I would like to see if I can help to clarify some of your questions.

1) TweedleWink DVD quality - we always know our early production can use some improvement, and I thank you all for your patience with us. And now the good news is that we finally did it -- the new, improved DVD 1-4 are completed. We are happy to exchange the new ones for you. All you have to do is send back DVD 1-4 (keep the covers) and we will mail out the new ones for you.

It will take us another 2 weeks to get all the products in place for exchange. So please be patient with us and I will post the address for you to send back your disk shortly.

2) Online course down load. There is a mp3 down load button, and you should be able to down load the course easily. For those of you who have contacted us before know how helpful our team is. So please feel free to contact us for any problems you might encounter. Just remember that we are here to help, not to stress you. We are in Right Brain Education business.  smile

3) Reselling the DVDs. Both TweedleWink and Wink are systems which means everything put in the program is carefully designed and has reasons for it. Although Tweedlewink is focused on input, it also serves as the preparatory step for Wink by giving the early exposure to eye exercise, speed reading and photo eyeplay with poetry to keep the right brain pathway open.

It also is designed to repeat at different development cycle.

You see, When a child receives information, the brain organizes it right away.

For example, if you show a child a picture of an apple, with a word card apple, these 2 new pieces of information link to all other "bytes" of information that are similar in shape, size, sound or category. If he has eaten an apple before, these new "bytes" of information connect to that experience--the taste, the smell, the color, the feel, the sound, and even the people and circumstances surrounding the child as he ate the apple.

So when you show your child the flash card at 6 months old, and when the same flash card is shown again at different development cycle, the new information/experiences will build upon the previous one. That is how mental library is built, and that is why you might want to hold on to those DVD lessons and repeat in a later time.

I am too tired tonight, but I will be back later to answer some more questions. :-)

Kind Regards,
Wennie

No problem. However, please give us a bit more time to get ready.

There will be two locations to send back your disks depending on where you live. All we need is for you to send back your disks with your prove of purchase.

If you placed your order directly through our website, then just copy your invoice to us. If you can't locate it, then please give us your email address because we can easily locate your order in our database.

If you purchased your product through our licensed distributor, then please contact them and we will work with them to do the exchange.

This free exchange is only for orders placed in 2008 and 2009 with Right Brian Kids. Any order placed before 2008 has different price structure. However, you can always write to us and we will see what we can do.

Kind Regards,
Wennie
