Dear mommies:

Thank you for all your great questions, in fact, you can show any language separately or together to your child and he/she will not get confused. It is us, the adult's left brain needs the structure and sequence.  smile

In our user guide we provide some guidelines. But remember, you know your child the best and there is no one way fits all program. Follow the child, the amazing right brain knows no limits.

You can show the multi language DVD together with the DVD lessons or showing it by itself. My son likes to watch one language at once and then move on to the next. I think it is too much trouble to switch one session between different languages. I am a very relaxed mom.  smile

Your child will let you know if he/she had enough stimulation. If you see that, then follow the clue.

One mother wrote to us saying that she showed one lesson to her daughter and stopped because that is what we wrote in our user guide, and her child was crying and wanting more lessons. So what should we do then? You got it, we follow the child. I know some other experts recommend stop showing the flash cards while your child still wants it, but we disagree. If a child has the desire to learn and imaging the disappointment and anxiety for the child when we kill that joy of learning.

If your child is young, then focus on input rather than output. If we constantly asking or expecting results from a young child, we actually pulling them more and more to the left brain earlier than it suppose to be.

Further more, as children growing older and realizing that they are being tested, their right brain will shut down.

Our goal is to raise a well-balanced child. To do that, we need to look out all five areas of development:
physical (health)
mental (mind, left brain)
emotional (intuition, right brain)
spiritual (higher self - virtues, value, etc)
social (relationships)

It will be good if we check these 5 areas every night, not just to our children, but to ourselves as well.

Sorry for the long reply. smile

Kind Regards,
Wennie

Hi rbkids,
Thanks for your tips. I will continue with the dvd, will drop u a note if my son start to recognise n speak any from the dvd. I totally agree with what you say, only input for young children. I do not test my son at all, just let nature take course. I am asking which way to watch will get better result as I don't want to let my son watch video for too long. As he is also on Wink to learn Chinese, Baby signing time, YBCR and many others that I bought for him but yet to start.

Hi, luckymommy1307:

Yes, you are right that we don't want to let our children watch TV for too long, even if it is educational program.

Since I don't know how old your child is, therefore, I can't give you a time frame. But please Look at the Tweedlewink overview chart that comes with your DVD purchase and see how much TV time is recommended according to your child's development stage.

If you don't have one, then please let me know and I will send a copy to you.

Wennie

Hi,Wennie smile
I am interested in Wink Seven-Step Package. But I have some questions.
1.Is it enough Wink Program Overview and Guide to be informed how to use this package or it is nessesary to take  Wink Overview Course.Because I cannot afford both of them.
2.How much will cost tranportation of this package to Bulgaria/including shipping taxes and Duty free taxes/?

Hi Wennie

I do not see the mention of shipping cost for the exchange and I do not live in USA? Would it be cheaper than the shipping cost when I purchased the set please?

I also want to buy the rest of the set. Since you mentioned they will be out end of the year I have been waiting. But DVD8 is not out yet though scheduled for October. What is the new schedule so I can decide if I should wait longer or just exchange the dvd 1-4 now.

Thank you.

Wow - still no dvd 8.

I want so much to purchase these lessons, but I'm just not comfortable starting something that may never get completed.

Does anyone know how many dvds were added to the collection last year? This is moving at such a snail's pace.

Hi, krb:

I know how you feel and I do feel your frustration. The DVD 8 should be available next month.

When was the last time you played DVD1 to your child? The child's circuitry grows in a speed-sonic speed at this time, so if you showed your child DVD1 a year ago, and show it now, the new associations will be built upon the previous one. So it is ok to repeat the dvd, and in fact, you should repeat after a period of time.

I will let you know as soon as I know the DVD 8 available date. Thank you so much for your patience and support.

Regards,
Wennie

Wennie, hi. I am very seriously in the process of collecting resources to purchase the entire set of 10 DVDs.  My only concern is that I might miss out on DVD no.8.  Since my daughter is still only 2 yrs and I also have plenty of other resources including LR / LM of course as well as other flashcards and websites I use for her education and training, I dont mind the wait (honestly, it will also give me sometime to collect enough from my personal pocket expenses to pay for the set at the time).
I only have 2 concerns.
Will there be a shipment cost involved to ship to Dubai, UAE?  I honestly think shipments here become incredibly expensive if we have to pay for them - I'd much rather get it shipped to India instead (if that is cost-effective) and then collect it from there - but I am also excited about the entire set of DVDs.
Is there a way you could come out with the option of including tweedlewink overview course in a package along with the 11 DVD bundle (assuming DVD 8 is also released soon) that will be really really affordable?

Please let me know.  thanks for your response in advance and sorry about the lengthy mail.

Hi, Indidee:

I am sorry that I did not see your post on the forum, but I did receive your recent emails to our support account.

The whole TweedleWink DVD consists of 12 lesson DVDs and 3 extra ones (math, phonics and multi language). So unfortunately after DVD8, we still have 4 more to go. But I can assure you that all 12 DVDs will be done this year.

The math and phonics will be included in the DVD lessons, so when all 12 DVD is completed, we might not offer these two DVDs.

So if budget is a concern, I will suggest you just get the 7 DVD set, and plus one multi language DVD if you wish.

DVD 8 is in the last stage of its making and it should complete this week. Once it is done, we still have to send for production which will take about 2 weeks. We will try our best to have it out asap.

However, I will recommend you start early to maximize the right brain window. If your reason for waiting is to avoid the DVD 8 shipping charge, then what I can do is to offer you the free shipping when DVD 8 is out if that will help you to release some pressure.  smile

One other thing I would like to clarify is that we are not associated with wink-to-learn. I met the owner last year in Singapore and after reviewing his parent guide I question that it is actually against Right Brain learning principle. So he said he knows nothing about Right Brain Education and never claim his product has anything to do with right brain learning.

However, one parent just told me two days ago saying that she ordered their DVDs thinking they are associated with us somehow. I got the same impression from your email, so I just want to clarify that.

I also want to clarify that the speed reading/memory game that wink-to-learn is promoting on the forum, we have nothing to do with that either. In fact, we were asked by many confused parents about its similarity to our wink product. Well, the fact is that the creator of that product was one of Pamela's student. So no need for me to say more, and you can figure out the rest.

The thing is, it all depends on how you play (right brain learning is all about energy/vibration). If you play the memory game (especially the linking game) too early with your child, you in fact, pulling your child to the left brain earlier than its natural development. So in return, you shorten the once in a life time right brain absorbent window. That will be a shame if it happens. And that is why in our center, we do not play memory linking games to young children until they bridged to the left brain.

Your child is only two year old, you got a ways to go.  smile

Regards,
Wennie

Wennie, if you are still around and online - you are a genius!!! I have been waiting like crazy to hear from you and did receive Linda's mail. But you have answered and cleared EVERY doubt I had in my mind. Just this morning I was really tempted to purchase the entire Memory Magic set from Brian because it made a lot of sense and seemed to match with the games suggested on page 56 of the 'How to Bring out your Child's genius in just 10 minutes a day' guide, but I see your point about keeping the right brain open for more information and be receptive still.
What I didnt realise is that there were to be 4 more DVDs and trust me - the pace at which I am going at, I am willing to buy everything from Tweedlewink that I can get my hands on.
Your suggestion to send me DVD 8 without shipping costs sounds brilliant. The thing is ( and I found out when I checked out my cart) that the shipping costs to UAE fall in the $47 bracket and thats a lot of shipping costs if I have to ship them twice.
If you are coming out with the DVD in just 2 weeks and will add it to the existing package, I would prefer that completely but I WILL BUY ALL 11 DVDs now - even if Math and Music will get repeated. My daughter has already reached a certain stage in reading - her reading skills are excellent - my problem is math because I HAVE A MENTAL BLOCK and have been extremely lazy with exposing her to math.... Math is my preference right now and the entire purpose of subscribing to Tweedlewink is to keep her right brain open and encourage lateral thinking as much as logical thinking.

Also thanks for clearing the Winktolearn information. I seriously did think they were connected to your institution somehow and had the same style of teaching as Tweedlewink except they were concentrating on only certain subjects.  Their products are good but I was not so sure about the connection.

I can tell you this though - I am soaking in every bit of information you have suggested online and everything that Right brain education talks about.  Of course, LR and LM have made a world of a difference and I have KL to thank for this.  I cannot even begin to say how much it makes a difference. But I do want to get all 11 DVDs.  If its just another 2 weeks, I can wait (it will give me more time to strengthen my piggy bank /keep my credit card well paid for this).

Thanks again and you will find me on the list of addressees to send the CDs to.  Please do try and expedite the DVD 8 though.... tons of us I know cant wait till we get our hands on it all.

Hi, Indidee:

Thank you so much for your support and kind words. I am sorry that our delay reply caused you much stress. You are a fantastic mother and had done so much for your child. It is a blessing to have a mother like you!

To apologize on my part and also to thank you for your trust, I would like to give you a free gift - our TweedleWink level one course. You can down load the audio portion into a mp3 and listen to it anytime. The audio portion has more because the video presentation contains only the summary of the workshop we did back in Chicago.

I know you will enjoy the 2 demo lessons Pamela did for infant and toddler. Also the Q&A on there is fantastic.

You know we are not marketing savvy, we are only mothers putting our hearts and souls into what we do. Everything we put into our program has its purpose. The saddest part for me is to see people taking Pamela 20 years work, copy it, imitating it, package it and market it without caring about the overall impact to the children. Shichida uses Pamela's memory train story in their parent training manual, the center owner in Singapore even trade marked it as her own. One company in China took the whole Wink kit and converted it into Chinese without any credit to Pamela. Brad took her memory work and make it into a memory magic CD rom and sells it through wink-to-lean (even uses her writing). Wink-to-learn owner claims he came up with the name in his dream which has nothing to do with our Wink. So, what can we say?

If people really getting the essence of right brain education and do it right, then I will say by all means do so. Unfortunately that is not what we are seeing. The danger of taking something without full understanding, I am afraid it might do more harm than good.

Well, regardless what others do, we are moving forward. We will be putting out many exciting material in youtube. I will let you know when.

As for the DVD set, please just place your order and I will get DVD8 to you later. It is better for you to start now then later.

Just to share with you that I have a master degree in Math, so naturally I have high hopes for my son. But when I first flash math cards to him in his earlier ages, he was not interested. The more anxious I want him to learn math, the more he resists. After knowing Pamela and her program, I began to relax (because Pamela told me that every time I wanted to do math with my son creates stress for him) and back off. Now at age 6, he is doing 3rd grade math. So just relax and all will be fine.  smile

Thank you for listening and will talk to you soon.

Regards,

Wennie

Wennie.... Thanks. thanks and thanks.  I mean I dont even know where to begin to thank you.  Trust me, there are tons like me who will value whatever you have explained here.  I will go ahead and purchase the entire set of 10 immediately and wait for DVD 8 then. It makes best sense.  Though I honestly dont want you spending on the shipping (i was just trying to avoid the double shipping situation).
I am terribly stressed (and I get more stressed when I actually see the video clips of Naimah's daughter and KL's daughter or for eg the Schichida videos on the net with those kids doing speed reading and spead calculus).  I get even more stressed when I read about how Mirra's son can actually count and add.  Its terrible that I react like this and hence the entire book you and Pamela have written was a wake-up call and more importantly, it put me back on the right track. I think I was beginning to make the biggest mistake a parent can make - Compare and expect.  I have sworn never to do this.

Which brings me to my next question - dont you have a single Right brain center anywhere in UAE or in the Middle East.  I am so absolutely completely and totally into it, I am amazed by the fact that there is no one I have met here who has even HEARD about it - you seriously need to do something about the marketing even though moms like me swear by your standards and methods and always refer to it whenever anyone sees our children- for eg. I keep getting asked ALL the time  by everyone who sees my daughter if I am a teacher - trust me - I was one of those who COULDN'T IMAGINE being with children TILL I ACTUALLY HAD A CHILD myself.  I am a miracle myself - and all thanks to KL and Pamela.

Nett nett, if you ever need volunteers to market and help you in UAE or the Middle East - count on me.

Hi, Indidee:

You are most welcome. My team is having a break for Chinese New Year, so you should receive your access in a day or two. Just let me know if you run into any problems.

Every child is a genius. Some are in art, some are in math, some are in language, some are in music, etc. What we have seen is that not one child is genius in all area. So your child might be in science, KL's daughter might be in language, and Mirra's son might be in math. What we do in this early stage is to plan seeds so that our children can develop their talents based on their own divine purpose. Anxiety and stress block the energy flow, when you are stressed, your child is also stressed.

We are the best teacher for our children. A deep loving connection is the base for all learning. Children love their parents and they will do everything to keep that relationship. So when we give inputs to our child and ask answer back, the child will do it due to the love for the parents. However, to give answer back requires left brain language skill, sorting and organizing information, therefore, it pulls the child more towards the left brain development.

The right brain knows no limit and it does not filter information coming in. So all the input goes into the subconscious mind and creates a wealth of mental library. However, since we don't understand the children can learn through vibration, peripherally, and spherically vision (does not need to sit down and concentrate), we doubt and wonder if our efforts yield any result. The only way we can be assured is to pull data out of our children. But by doing so, we satisfy the adult, but pull our children pre-maturely to the left brain development.

As our children grow older, when they realize they are being watched, compared, judged, analyzed, the right brain will shut down.  It is a protective mechanism of the left brain, so we really need to be careful and protect our children so they can be joyfully grow into their adulthood and still keep that beautiful right brain pathway open.

Regards,
Wennie
