thanks judy.
have you attended the course? any idea how i would ps using little maths beta. do i need to print them out to show my son or is there another way? i have dot cards but i am so used to little maths that i havent used my dot cards since.
will the fact that there are different icons on screen and red dots on the card make a difference as to how my son percieves the quantity?
will he be able to tell the quantity on card? i dont want to feel dissapointed so i havent tested him in any way.
i must say though the reading is amazing. my baby is reading so many words. today i downloaded a file on animals. the first one was an elephant and the man took a little long to say the word. when my son sees it he waits and the says "eleph" and then the man says it. i dont remember teaching him elephant. i hope he learnt it from a story.

EARLY LEARNING / Early Learning - General Discussions / remarkable memory

Babies like adults, seem to remember things by association. In a study conducted at johns Hopkins university in the US., 14 month olds could better remember how many toys placed in a box if the toys consisted of groups, like 2 stuffed cats and two toy cars, than if the toys were unrelated. If the baby discovered 1 cat she knew that she had to look for the othe. This means that babies understand and remember the concept of more.
You can play a memory boosting game by placing a rattle under a blanket and discreetly swap it with a ball. If your baby keeps looking for the rattle that means she remembers the rattle.
please share some of your games to improve memory

i found about about doman when my son was 3 weeks. i found the book by chance. it was my first trip to a book store and i was looking for something on development. i found how to multiply your babies intelligence. i started the program on him.
it has been a truly wonderful and blessed journey. he is 20 months and can read the word shoulder even when i scribble it on a page in my not so neat writing. i dont test him and i was surprised when he saw the word clouds in a book and read it. he learnt that from little reader lite.
the possibilities are limitless and i plan to make good use of this time period. i have made a weekly lesson plan which helps guide us.

wonderful.
i want to teach my son arabic but neither my husband or i speak arabic (your downloads will be so useful to us.) we recite quraan and read an arabic translation for meaning. its so strange that we can read it beautifully but dont understand what we read. i hope my son will be different. i have made powerpoint slides by isolating each word from the surah and on the next slide i write the meaning. i dont have a voice recorder so i say it myself.

Once upon a time a time there lived a princess she had a whole wardrobe full of clothes. the clothes was so different colors and each cloth had magical powers. Each cloth had its on special unique power, the pink cloth made the princess fly, the blue cloth made the princess very strong, the yellow cloth made the princess invisible and the green cloth made the princess really fast.
One day the princess wore the white dress, which has a very different power, for every steps she had taken, the look would so perfect that nobody would realize what she wore. Every person would see their favorite color and smell the most delicious fragrance that suited their taste. Thus nobody could agree on what she looked and smelled like...
That afternoon the princess wondered into the unfamiliar woods, there she met angels and show her a beautiful garden with very different types of flowers and colorful butterflies that fluttered effortlessly and freely among them. Suddenly the leaves slowly parted and she saw the mean and nasty ogre...
