I used a game called the very silly sentence game. Taught nouns, adjectives, verbs, articles and prepositions. It is made by DK and it gets the point across quickly and effectively.

I believe mandab is right. Your son will go nuts with boredom in Kinder and its time to move him on. My own daughter was put up into reception a year early. She is loving it and needed to go up. I was worried about all the same things you are she is the youngest in her class but it has not been noticed. and she slotted right in and got on with it.
With Sophia's 5th birthday fast approaching I have been wondering what all the other people on this forum have been thinking about doing with your child's schooling now they are of age to go to school?
As most of you know Sophia got accepted for early entry at her Montessori school and started school this year instead of next year under the new age rulings here in South Australia. It got me thinking that so many of you now have children of school age and I am just busting to know how many of you will continue on at home or will be sending your children to school?
Thank you for all the links Tamsyn. I have been wondering where I could get something like this for my eldest. I can tell you I am over this whole princess culture thing and have wanted something like this for my dd for the building of that 'can do' spirit.
No I don't have a EL buddy. I feel since starting school Sophia is not very inclined to even want to afterschool. Buuuuut that doesn't mean things wont change soon. I'm here ot talk to if anybody needs me.
I know that sometimes we mention Montessori on this forum but no-one has gone into it a great deal I have started a blog series on it. Here is part one.
That is okay. Food Coloring is found in little bottles in the supermarket. In Australia food coloring is usually found with all the sugar and other ingredients to make cakes.
You might know it as food dye depending where you live.
I just made some salt dough beads with the kids and they absolutely loved it. Here is my blog on it. It is a great activity to strengthen hands and fine motor skills needed for writing.
