Yup, it is the same everywhere.  This is why most moms of babies under five have dark circles and messy look.
Women are the biggest minority on the planet.  Things are slowly changing though.  In Germany, for instance bigger companies have started to make childcare centers right in the same building where you work.  There they have a female prime minister.
This is why I felt realy sorry when H.Clinton dropped out of the race for President of the States. 

I know that little reader can also help older children and even adults who want to learn a new language!

you should get your little one of the bilingual toys on the market.  I hear they are really helpful and it will add to your efforts.

I feel that Little Reader should have his own cartoon caracter.  Someone like the one showing in you picture.  And he can be used when showing actions instead of having so many different pictures in the Library.  Babies also love to see familiar faces so I think they will like to see Mr. LR as well

I am hearing about LENA for the first time.  It does look good, but what DomanMom writes is very true.  In order to enhence your child's language skills you simply have to invest more time into your relationship.  The benefits are not only language development but also bonding
I think talking to your baby about what you are about to do helps you out not feeling awkward in a one way conversation.  When the baby begins to respond the rewards are immense. 
Further, it is not the quantity of time spent with your children but the quality of it.  I see many parents around me who treat their baby as a thing not a real person.  They bathe him, change him and hold toys infront of him - but no real communication.
It takes a lot of love, patience and confidence to do what KL has done with his child.  Actualy, I wonder how much time did you spend talking to her every day, KL?  Also, how much time did your reading sessions take during her first year?

The only difference is that you get paid in $ and we are in Pts   I believe that the second one is more rewarding :P
I also loved the "Why I love you" story and I think that you should make it at BrillKids with pro narrator and drowings.

So ic Bush is against Federal funding of the research, which slows down the research and development in the US, which slows down to a degree the world in this direction.

I am teaching my son English as a second language, for the following reasons:
-internet
-globalization
-oficial business language
-oficial language in the EU

Research have shown that children will be fluent in both languages, provided that they get exposed to the second one systematically at least 30% of the time.
