Thanks everyone again! I have made some decisions that help to ease my "pain" and reduce stress. I read a lot of positive books to be able to make myself feel better. And I drink tea that supports milk supply and enjoy every moment with my baby through my heart. And I sleep with her in my bed, breastfeed her all night long and I love it. I believe everything turns well in the end. Thank you everyone for your great support!

Hi, I am in a difficult phaze of my personal life and I am in a lot of stress. I know that I can loose milk because of a lot of stress. I am trying to work it out but still - is there anything I can do to prevent it? My daughter is little over 7 months old and she was breastfed (only) till her 6 months of age. We had no problems breastfeeding, I always had a lot of good quality milk. Now I feel I am starting to loose it. I pump much less milk now with a breast pump (I use it for her milky solid food) and my daughter seems to be hungry even after beeing breasfed.

Takže bych se nebála a použila Little Reader k učení více jazyků. Já sama učím svou 6 měsíční dcerku anglicky i česky pomocí LR. Je k tomu úžasný! Vřele doporučuju. Kdybys měla nějaké další dotazy, ráda ti pomůžu. Navíc na fóru najdeš spoustu informací. Stačí zadat do vyhledávače anglicky heslo, které tě zajímá... Hodně štěstí. Martina

Hi Patty, I have gone through your website and your videos describing the methods of Play Wisely. I love it! For those who have not done it yet I strongly recommend to do it. PlayWisely Website here: www.playwisely.comLearning Development Video here: http://www.playwisely.com/MovieCognitiveDevelopment.htmMovement Development Video here: http://www.playwisely.com/MovieMotorDevelopment.htmI have a few questions: Acording to your video you recommend flashing one subject (for example A CAT) and dissect it. Change its position and change its atributes (number, color and size) and then interact with it... So does it mean that you would recommend to make that type of flashcards and flash them in those sets instead of making bits and flash single original BITS in a groups as Doman recommends? It means instead of flashing a group of 5 different animals with their names flash a set of flascards with for example a cat wit all the differencies you describe in the Cognitive Development video? How often and for how long do you recommend to flash YOUR groups of flashcards with one object? When to retire and introduce a new set? And again - for how long and how often? Should we bring them sometimes back after they have been retirid? When? Thank you sooo much for your answers.

Hi Patty and welcome to this Forum! We are so happy you are finally here and willing to share your experience and knowledge. . I am from Czech republic and I know about Play Wisely here. I have tried to contact them (to take the Play Wisely instructor course) but was not very succesfull yet since I have not received any answer yet.. . But I wonder - why have you decided to spread Play Wisely in Czech republic? BTW I am glad you did!!!! Do you have any special connection with this country??? Anyway I am looking forward to reading more from you!! Martina

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: Does DHA Omega 3 really benefit developing babies?

DHA Omega 3 does really benefit developing babies, mainly their vision and brain development. It is recomended for mums to take DHA Omega 3 mainly during the third trimester of pregnancy and during breastfeeding. It goes through milk to a baby.. I did it with both of my daughters. I did till my older daughter was 3 years old. And still take it with the second baby. I think it is very easy and safe way to give it to them through breastfeeding...

My first baby took the bottle from the age of 1 week (I had to pump brestmilk and feed her because of infection) a we were able to feed her this way from that time. It was very convenient for time I could not be with my baby. I thought it would be the same for the second baby girl. But we waited until her age of about two months old and so far (4 months) she refuses the bottle completely. I would like to change that as well.

It is recommended to teach balance to a kid first. We tried it with our daughter and it really worked. We removed pedals from the bike and let her use it without them first for some time with her feet on the ground. She loved it. She was able to ride a bike by herself the same day we put the pedals back. Good luck!!
