I had a mother contact me who was over at her friend's home - another mother with seven children ranging in ages 5-18. She started the 5 year old with Super Flash and then the other children started coming over to see what he was playing. Within a half hour all 7 children were playing Super Flash which she said lasted for over 3 hours and they weren't arguing or fighting. She said she has never seen these children do anything for any amount of time without fighting or arguing over something.

What we did was purchase Anne Infante's Positive Affirmation Songs for Children CDs. We played them in the house and car when driving our children around. We all ended up singing alone and feeling more uplifted and happy during the day. Those songs really stick in your mind. Our children love them. Hi Brad,

This is just some feedback regarding the program. I like it overall, but the flashcard issue is a big downfall for me. Most parents have very little time for material preparation, including printing/laminating cards or taking them to a printer and paying an unknown expense to get everything printed out.

I would love it if there was an option to purchase the set with everything pre-printed or to be able to purchase the cards separately. I know it probably comes down to time, resources, and money, but maybe you could partner up with a printing service or something.

We had the cards priced from 3 different commercial printers and the cost was way too high. They would be unaffordable for parents to purchase. So, our best option to  put them in pdf format on the CD so parents could still get them. The value we passed on in this product is tremendous . Each of the 38 sets comes in 2 different sizes for the different accelerated learning games and each card has unique facts on the backs. Because each card is unique and in different sizes, this makes printing them commercially very expensive. Our Singapore partner also wanted to print the cards and found the same price restrictions. So, again, our next best option was to provide them on the CD. The cards to come in sets of 10 though so you can print out a set at a time. Yes, perhaps we can team up with a printer. We'll look into that option. Thank you for the suggestion.

With regards the flashcard issue. There were only 4 words out of 380 with issues and they were not major misspellings. The issue was only in the one computer game and not any of the printable cards or game keys. Bugs in game programs do happen and we fixed the issue within 2 days of hearing of it.

So in memory magic do they have dot cards?????And i even have 1 more question that in deluxe one they dont show Flashem like what we have in LR??? Like we have choice either to take printout of flashcards or either we can make our child to see those flashcards on computer .It is upto us right.So what about memory magic deluxe flashem ???? Is it something like that that we have to take printout of flashem and we cannot use it those flashem on dvd player or computer?????Pls guide.

Brad from Mercury Learning Systems here. This version of Memory Magic has no math dot cards. We will be producing other games using the method later. The CD does contain 4 eye-tracking cards though along with the Follow That Dot computer game. In Follow That Dot, your child follows a dot forming an invisible pattern, then tries to find that pattern in a finding game. It helps develop eye-tracking for speed reading later in development as well as lightning-fast memory and visual memory.

With the Flash'em games, you can play the computer games or print out the different-sized Flashing cards to use with your child. There are 5 different categories of cards in 38 sets of 10. Total number of cards is 380. The categories are: Animals, Foods, Tools, Sports Equipment and Musical Instruments. Each card has from 4-9 interesting facts about the object on the fronts. On the CD is also instructions for playing several interesting accelerated learning games with your child or even adults - the whole family.

All the computer games are played on computer only because they are highly interactive. Flash'em computer games flash up to 10 objects at a time very rapidly. It also flashes the associated word and says the word too so your child receives several types of brain stimulation with this game. All the sets of 10 objects in the computer games correspond to the Flashing cards you can print out.

Also, one mother suggested taking the cards to a cheap photo printer and having photo prints made of them rather than printing them out from your home printer.

Yes!!! We have a folder with ideas for 50 or more accelerated learning games for children that no one has produced yet. Our brains are bursting with ideas! I actually tried the Free rapid flashing and silly story games and was really amazed that my 8yr old son could remember the 10 objects that were rapidly flashed on the screen(less than 1 sec per object).
And he could remember 30 pictures of the silly story.
 
I never thougt this Rapid Flashing thing actually works.

I was wondering why they keep on saying that the faster you flash the better.

I think it's using the sub-concious part of yr brain to remember, since the pictures are flashing too quick for yr eyes to really focus/study them.

The screen has the menus and other elements on the screen when the games are played
which may distract kid's attention from the game.

Can you change this interface. eg. When any game is started it should go in full screen mode
and when some key (eg Esc) is pressed it will return to Gaming Menu.

We just fixed the 4 Sets in the Flash'em computer games that each had a misspelled word. Below, please read our instructions below for downloading and replacing the sets in your Memory Magic games folder. Please note that only 4 Sets of the 38 Sets in Flash'em were affected with a misspelled word. None of the other games on Memory Magic had a misspelled word.

We wanted to thank you so much for your support in making our games better. We are passionate about making the best products the will accelerate your child's learning potential.

Instructions for replacing the old Sets with our new ones:

1. Go to the web address below in your browser. It will start a download of the .zip folder, whose contents you'll need to replace into your current Memory Magic folder. Save it anywhere on your computer desktop.

2. Once downloaded, double-click it to un-zip it. You will have a folder with the 4 new sets inside for the Flash'em computer games.

3. Copy the folder "Memory-Magic-Deluxe" from your Memory Magic Deluxe CD onto your computer desktop (this is recommended in the instructions that originally came with your CD). Once you save the folder from the CD to your desktop, you will not need the load the CD anymore to play Memory Magic.

4. Open the "NewSets" folder on your desktop to show the 4 new sets you just downloaded from our site. These will replace the ones  in your "Memory-Magic-Deluxe" folder you just copied from the CD

5. Open the "Memory-Magic-Deluxe" folder, then open the "Files" folder, then open the "dswmedia" folder.

6. In the "NewSets" folder with the 4 new sets, select all 4 sets, copy them and paste those new sets into the "dswmedia" folder. When your computer asks you to replace the ones in there now, select "Yes to All".

You now have replaced old sets with the new ones and you are ready to play them! You can delete the "NewSets" folder now.

Thank you for clearing that up. I look forward to the links to fix our CDROM. Is there a way to send the PDF to a place like Walmart to be printed on 4x6 print sheets. I think it would be cheaper for me then paying for ink, photo paper then laminating it.

Hi, This is Brad from Mercury Learning Systems. Yes, you can take the pdfs to WalMart, or anywhere you want to get prints made. Here's where the pdfs are on  your CD:

Memory-Magic-Deluxe folder : pdf folder : fc1.pdf (this is Animals Set 1), fc2.pdf (this is Animals Set 2), etc. up to fc9.pdf. Foods are fe1.pdf to fe6.pdf. Musical Instruments are fm1.pdf to fm8.pdf. Sports Equipment are fs1.pdf to fs7.pdf, and Tools are ft1.pdf to ft8.pdf. There are 38 sets in all for a total of 380 small cards for older children to adults and 380 large cards for small children, ages 6-8 mths up. If taking to WalMart for photo prints, we suggest having them print out the large cards onto 8 x 10 if possible.

Hello Everyone,

We investigated the misspelled words issue and found the only elements affected are the computer games. The words are correct in the Game Keys and the different sized printable playing cards, which are also on the Memory Magic Deluxe CD. The Sets affected are:

Animals Set 2: Dalmation - should be Dalmatian
Foods Set 2: Yellow Habenera Pepper - should be Yellow Habanera Pepper
Tools Set 6: Safty Pin - should be Safety Pin
Music Set 3: Accordian - should be Accordion

We will fix these misspellings and contact our membership with the download link and easy instructions to replace these 4 Sets in your Memory Magic Deluxe folder. We will also post the link on this forum.
