I'm very pleased to announce Robert Levy and his son David will be stopping by for a visit mid-June and wanted to extend the invitation to anyone interested in joining us.  I understand travel arrangements are tough to make on short notice so we can arrange a Skype session.

If you have already purchased the Little Reader program in English you can download additional files in Mandarin from the library as mentioned by Kiwimum.  You can search the Little Reader Library by language.  BrillKids makes everything easy.
My son has picked up alot of Chinese through music.  You will find an infinite amount available on youtube.  Here are a few links to some threads

I do have to say out of all the foreign languages my son is learning he speaks Chinese with the most confidence and fluency.  I credit it to the foundation the BrillKid program has provided.  Please keep in mind they usually offer 10% off around holidays and you can add another 10% off by using an affiliate code.

When I first joined I was soooo overwhelmed.  Have you visited www.brillbaby.com?  There you can download free resources including teaching booklets that will inform you the why and how of the method Little Reader uses to teach your child reading, math, encyclopedia knowledge and different languages.
You can also use the search button on this page and type in any phrase to pull up previous posts about the subject you are interested in.  You can also click the forum button above to get to the  forum's homepage and view all the categories and by clicking one you will see every post ever made in it.

I have found that using the little reader program to teach my son how to read has been the most convenient and it keeps him interested.  You can personalize the lessons by adding your own pictures.  You can create your own lessons and stories.  there are also hundreds of lessons available to download into your program created by users here on the forum.  There is a feature that allows you to set the color of the word at random so your child will see many colors instead of black all the time. 

You can download a free trial of the little reader program to see how Ratheesh reacts.

The Chinese curriculum has not been updated to the new version yet.  To play the games I just click on session 1 or 2 and then at the bottom of the screen in the middle I click on the word game.  It asks the questions in English but says the lesson words in Chinese. 
I didn't plan on teaching him French but since he has had so much success with Chinese and English BrillKid programs thought I'd give it a try.  He loves it.

I have no idea since I don't know French myself. 

My husband wanted me to try the trial French curriculum before we made the purchase.  I wanted to share a video taken after two days of the trial lessons.  He has not been exposed to this language.  And now I must go lay our camera to rest since it met with an unfortunate tumble through the staircase railing.

I usually pick one excercise and demonstrate and then help guide his form.  It's fun when Dad is home so he can watch his form while I guide him.  He has a lot of fun with it and at the oddest times (like at the circus) you can catch him practicing.

Hmmmmmmm I saw the email about this earlier and have been going back and forth about teaching Cayden a 4th language that I don't know. 
I am seriously considering it just bc of this release.  The value of the program for the price is amazing.  Plus I know it will work. 

My son claps some days but on other days he doesn't.  To keep him on track with learning the rhythm I pat his back so he can feel it.

After a quick google search I came across The "invent with Python" Blog which has two books by Al Swelgart available for free PDF downloads - invent your own computer games with python and making games with python and pygame.  You can see the book reviews on amazon which are impressive. 

A brief description from the blog about the books:
Kids as young as 9 (or even younger) can learn programming, it doesn’t require math skills beyond basic arithmetic.
Making video games is the best way to learn programming and stay interested.
Python is one of the best programming languages to learn for a first language.
If your kid finds typing frustrating, then Scratch might be a better language to learn.
“Invent Your Own Computer Games with Python” is a free book that teaches programming to complete beginners in Python.
py2exe can help your kid share their programs with their friends.
When making your own games, computer version of board games or simple games of chance are a good starting point.
