Keri would you recommend easy clear not very overwhelming books to be read by kids to learn more about the elements , where we find them , their use ?? I love the placemat unfortunately it is out of stock on amazon Uk so if you don't mind i would love to have it . And hey great news , A business man who import stuff from US knew about us and what we are doing with Isa and little ones and homeschooling ,...  he emailed me his office address in US and offered to be my postman he said he got a frozen container every month and a regular  one every 3 months , I am welcome to order whatever i need from the states and get it sent to his address if it can go in the frozen container it will go there if not in the regular one , YAY I am so happy , i can save so much with this arrangement . now i need to check can a box of books go in a frozen container ?? would they get wet ?? mayeb they should be vacuum packed ?? Also I bring isa's special energy drinks in tins powdered formula , do you thin k tis ok for it to go in frozen container ?? i need to check with the company i buy the formula from . Anyway no more lost or stolen  items in post office , no more paying double for shipping , hooray for good and kind  people ,My prayers were answered .

i found about chessology few weeks ago from a friend , you can read a review here :  http://craftknife.blogspot.com/2013/07/chess-classes-from-chessology-will.html , there is 50% discount for life when you enroll now .I know in some parts of the world chess is becoming part of the curriculum . i never learned how to play the game . i know how to move the pieces but i cannot really play a game . i managed to teach my little ones basic chess with non stress chess which we love it but i don't know how we can progress more . they need to play with somebody who can play and be challenged that is why i found the online course good idea .would like to hear others with more chess knowledge , opinions on this . could it be good learning opportunity ??

Skylark , are you using it to create little reader lessons ?? it is what i thought about it when we first tried it . my kids  are  loving animated heroes classics , today  we saw Beethoven and my little ones were entranced , very moving biography , kids were happy to hear some of the pieces they listen to and practice with Softmozart like Fur Elise , ode to joy ... the script is perfect for our young. But i was thinking what i can do to reinforce their learning  . This can be amazing resources to create lessons in LR on various subjects : composers , artists, explorers ,.... and would be a  way for them to review and memorize facts .
I am using the free version for now and not sure i could afford the paid one later . better not get too excited about it , and figure a way to download few videos we like before we no longer have access to the site

hi  I converted a cheap abacus i had two a RS abacus for my baby and i have 2 others RS abacus i use with his older sister . We are enjoying RS program and using their abacus a lot . i read a lot about soroban on the forum I like to ge tit but am a bit worried it will confuse my daughter who is really doing well with RS abacus does lots of mental math by closing her eyes and picturing the abacus . What added benefit the soroban abacus has over the RS one . can somebody explain it please ??

I use the leo et lea and love them . i also taught my little one to write french attache ,cursive which is much nicer than the english cursive ( for me ) . i think leo et lea are excellent  for teaching to read in french phonetically .
